phoneyLogic
May I ask though, where did you get that Ref ID? In GECK, where else? :D http://www.loaditup.de/files/677904_2rqaeddcse.png Edited January 8, 2012 by tortured Tomato
ThatBrazilianGuy
Lol... I've been using exclusively the in-game console XD (probably why I can't get the functions to work properly)Gonna get my hands on G.E.C.K. at once. With it, I may finally understand what makes the "you discovered <location>" ticks and then force it in game when the engine refuses to launch that script. Take care mate and thanks again for all your help.
ThatBrazilianGuy
After doing doing some experiment based on what I saw on G.E.C.K. I believe one of my mods must've distorted the trigger area for location discovery in some places, limiting it to a specific spot in the map... For example, I will only get "You Discovered Goodsprings if I'm a very specific point in the map, as seem in the picture below: http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i114/fellipetolezano/goodspringsscreen.jpg If I walk through the road the character is on in the screenshot, by the"green" square, I get "You Discovered Goodsprings". However if I walk through the other "half" of the road (area in red) or kind of anywhere else other than that tiny green square, nothing happens. Started new games and headed where the bug occurs to see if it was a matter of save file glitch, but in every new game, the exact same locations are glitched in regarding discovery. Should I want the map markers to appear naturally, I guess it will be a matter of manually finding the G spot for location discovery since using coc doesn't help (pun ridiculously intended)
phoneyLogic
I don't know why this happens but If you are planning to explore the wasteland like this, you will definitely mess up your game. There are many trigger, marker, doors and so on which must be passed in order to set different variables, quest stages, enabling NPCs or to initialise other stuff. I wouldn't recommend to do so. Same goes for the coc command. You will run into quest problems sooner or later. Also using console commands disables achievements for the session.
