RuneKatashima Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 A mod to make them so they look more like the young and graceful versions of pretty much every other lore and not old and gaunt like they do in TES. Generally just their facial structure is highly unappealing and I'm asking for a complete replacement to something less horrid to look at. I thank and will vote and endorse anyone who does this. hsynhkn Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 I just played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim and I could say Skyrim is the best on character types. Morrowind and Skyrim similarr to character types especially elves (especially dark and high). I mean, Oblivion was a crash for me after played Morrowind. Every race is shaving every morning, unbalanced face (especially when you make older character his right eye almost down to floor), useless randomize character option (at least now it gives you different variations and you can make your own from them easily.), baby-face orcs, dark elves, pretty much all races... Another fact I like about Skyrim's character creation is there's no age option. In Oblivion, like I said, if you get your character older its face becomes unbalanced. It was changing many options. But in Skyrim you can use face colors and sizes to make your character older, or younger. But, there are so many people who thinks they look ugly, I think someone should do it. You don't have to take away their uniqueness to make them more attractive. I can easily imagine just slightly tweaking their eye and skeletal structure, as well as some textures, and have them look extremely similar to the current elves of TES lore, but simply a bit more attractive. What you would need to do is probably smoothen the skeletal structure a bit to make it a bit more graceful, and do something to the eyes to make them a bit less... alien and choppy? (Although I do like the idea that elves should be seen as aliens, after all they are a completely different race. I assumed the OP wants to turn them into humans with pointy ears, which I feel is just...silly. Also...only the mean ones are ugly? I'm sorry, I find it a bit to wrong to have some ugly = evil system. If anything the opposite is usually true. Anyway it just isn't right to take away an element that makes something stand out, makes it special in the first place. Like meeting a girl who's different from the rabble, but then forcing her to become some materilistic tramp to match society's media warped standards, thereby destroying her as a person. The first time I saw what these elves were like, I was actually blown away. They are so different to humans, and I can see some like the Thalmor then see that as physical perfection, while us...plain faces are just garish for them to look at. They can't...look human. They have completley different ancestors, took a completley different evolutionary paths. You know what, if any race could look like generic elves, make it the Bretons. They're techinically half-elf, though distant, so giving them pointier ears that regular man (but not as pointy as the Mer) would make them match this 'classic' image that the OP strives for. Plus, they can actually stand out from the Nords and Imperials, because frankly I can't tell the difference between these measly humans. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Seriously yeah, we need a lot of mods just to make the faces up to standard to other games...normal humans are bearable here, but the non-humans? it's even deeper to the uncanny valley. what, with the sickly yellow skin, elongated face, and weird eye colour...
