Help me understand XP32s Maximum Skeleton and FNIS

I have never really understood how XP32s skeleton works with mods that override the skeleton.
DO I put XP32 last in the mod order (using Mod Organizer)?

Also, FNIS does what? I have animation mods, I run FNIS but it doesnt seem to do anything, simple installing the new animations seems to work the same.

Some animations will work without using FNIS because they are direct replacements. New animations cannot normally be added. FNIS allows this to happen (among other things).

 

XPMSE is a compilation skeleton that includes modifications made by many mods. By ensuring that its skeleton has the priority, you ensure that mods which require such modifications are able to work as intended.
