Destruction Mages are powerful and tactical.

Wrong on both counts. 'Tactical' does not mean scurrying about and hiding from your enemies attack. 'Tactical' would be having varied abilities to counter varied attacks used at the right time. 'Powerful' is not killing your enemy with the death of a thousand static shocks, it is withstanding your enemies deadly attacks, countering and launching your own deadly attacks.

If you enjoy playing the 'willfully weak' character that's your choice, but don't wet my back and tell me it's raining.

I dont think its that weak. Usualy I can get a non ancient dragon down to 60-50%hp before he attacks. I think thats pretty powerful and what else could I do in those type of situation where I have dragon breath and Krosis sniping? Ofcourse I'll kite around a wall. I'd love to use walls and wards but they arent that great in my opinion so I kind of did what I did.

My meaning of "power and tactical" is controling the field to my advantage with the tools provided by the original non-modded game (as long as they are viable). Not how much damage I do and at what scale I am. Thats how I meant it :)

the spell maker was also capped on illusion spells.

And a mage doesn't lock himself to 1 school. Magic in Oblivion was fine, because it was overall balanced out.

In Skyrim, everything is capped at 40+.

If I recall correctly, in oblivion, if you were a pure mage with no armor to keep spell effectiveness at 100%, getting/making maxed out magnitude to 25 meant you can affect anything with said spell.

I don't know about skyrim since I didn't bother with spells that had level caps but I wonder whether the people who have hit the level caps are being hindered by armor messing with a hidden spell effectiveness mechanic or if Beth simply screwed high level players with hard caps.

Part 3. Inside Yngvild for close quater combat.

Decided to try out Wall of Storms as it's a beefed up version of sparks and work with that damage over time aspect, thought it was a pretty cool even though it was low on damage. Worked with Whirlwind Sprint and Unrelentic Force in this video as I've already used Become Ethereal. Just hit lvl 50 yesterday and decided to spend my last 5 perk points into hydromancer and pyromancer perks. I did not use Intense Flames perk as I dont want enemies running away from me but I did invest in Deep Freeze for paralyze effect. Going to use Ice and Fire when in proper situations against mobs. Will be focusing on Wall of Frost but I am not sure if it does stamina damage but I hope it does. Since I decided to focus on destruction mage playthrough I feel like a real mage now.

I am also working on final armor pieces. At level 50 I have 984 mana but I am running with 28%/28%/15% for 71%- destruction cost. From day I build this character to have the largest mana pool so I got some new enchanting potions so what I will be working on next is removing one of the 28% enchantings for more mana I just need to work out the pieces since I'd like to keep my Archmage Robes.

The video went through a lot of editing because Camtasia is very weird and displays a large chunk of produced content as a pitch black video for some reason so this went throught a lot of 720p to 1080p through various part so thats why it's like that. If anybody can recommend a good program. I am sure Vegas studio is good I've heard about it. I am not a fan of virtual dub it takes ages to render. Just now a days if its not 1080p why bother right :)

More videos showcasing Fire, Ice and what not soon.

Hey whats up guys its me again. I took a little break from Skyrim but I made part 4. I actualy had a full dungeon run recorded with commentary but it was too many files to produce and I dont like Fraps then Camtasia combo nor have the time to edit so many videos.

This one is .vs Otar the Mad with some pretty close quaters. It was really challenging and took a while to master different techniques but in this display I am using Fire Storm to start it off, Incinerate, Flame Cloak and Slow Time. My Slow Time is at level 1 so recharge is fairly fast + with combination of Flame Cloak I think it did some really good damage. Did get lucky a few tries as Otar has a staff of storm wall so thats where I got damaged at. Overall a fun experience.

Next will have to be Elder Dragon to see what I can come up with.

Enjoy.
