Simple Request

This is just a simple request that should be pretty quick. I really think the Novice Robes (and the other robes that share the same style) would look much better on females if the leggings underneath were cut down a bit to turn them into shorts. Nothing fancy.

Also, I don't know much about modding this game, so would it be easy to incorporate the shortened legs with other reskins? Would I have to edit in the new legs onto them manually, or would it affect it automatically?

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a body mesh (or even bare legs/arms) under the default robe mesh, so editing the alpha won't work, someone would need to add a full body mesh under the outfit mesh in order to shorten the legs, and I haven't figured out how to do that yet

i think what he is saying, is that if u delete part of it now, then the part of pants u deleted would make your legs invisible?

Yes, that is exactly what he's saying. I'm asking for someone to add the legs underneath to fill in the holes from shortening the leggings. I would be very grateful if someone could accomplish this.

As I said, that's currently beyond me personally (I'm working on it though) but there are several Armor/Clothing replacers out there that have already done just that, unfortunately most of them are using the (**censored**) ubiquitous CBBE mesh underneath, which is why I'm learning to do it myself because we need both male and female versions that AREN'T CBBE.

Well, if you figure it out or know of someone who can, let me know please. Thank you.

EDIT:

Alright, your robes should work the same way:

As already mentioned only visible skin is in the model, the rest is deleted...so it should work to load your robes in nifskope and copy that body into it and then replace the robe with the new short one...but that would be a lot of work with all robes so you should choose one first and wear it for a loooong time :D

Tutorial? Well that would take a while if you have no clue 'bout 3D software and nifskope...uff i just checked out the model and there is some weird stuff going on when i try to import the body model...maybe someone with more xp can handle it, i just started yesterday and can only import weapons atm.

Tutorial? Well that would take a while if you have no clue 'bout 3D software and nifskope...i might try it if i find the time BUT as already mentioned you could only choose one robe...and the question is if it is worth the work since you won't wear 'em long.

Well, I can tell you I'd wear em a while. I've been picking clothes on form rather than function haha. I'd be very grateful to see it done, and I'm sure at least someone else out there would appreciate it.

How would it apply to only a single robe? Correct me if I'm wrong, but these robes are very similar and as far as I know the only difference is the color of the texture. If you change the model, wouldn't the various textures wrap around that model regardless? I'm not trying to be rude, I just want to figure out how all this works. If that's untrue and you don't feel like doing the others I could simply tell the game to make it replace whatever robe I want instead, right?

EDIT: Well wait a sec. Wouldn't all you have to do is copy and paste a couple times over the other files after doing it once?
