I don't know how many robes share this model...just saw a few other models, mageapprentice, magejourneyman,necromancer,archmage...

I don't think it is so easy just to copy/paste 'em but i might be wrong as well...i have no problem with texturing and modeling but i use nifskope since yesterday and i don't know much 'bout armor/clothes yet...how to integrate new branches or replace them and all that stuff. I can only do weapons atm but i'll play around with it a bit and update if i make any progress.

Well, I know the Novice, Apprentice, and Journeyman robes are the same model, or at least really close. I'm not that far in the game yet, but I can predict the Expert and Master robes are similar as well? I know for a fact that the Necromancer Robes are completely different though.

All of these are what you (or maybe just me) would call Mage oriented attire:

archmage

graybeardrobe

mageapprentice

magejourneyman

monk

necromancer

warlock

So quite a few just for magic users ... I'd also love to see a "Nexus Modders Resource" were every piece of clothing and armor has a full body under it, but that's a big job (42 clothing variants + 37 armor variants) And because there are now several new body meshes you've then got to expect the inevitable <insert whiny, nasally voice> " I wanted robe x with the body y " ...

Once I eventually figure out how to do the swap and become proficient at it, I may look at helping out with such a project. Don't forget though, that a lot of Armor/Clothing has already been modded in just this way, look for the "skimpy" outfits all you may really need to do is put some clothing back onto the texture and your done

Is that the full list of mage attire? I think its missing the Novice Robes, unless they go by another name. Some of those have very similar or identical models, would that mean they share the same mesh? It'd be nice to find out, google didn't help much though.

I'm surprised something like that doesn't exist already. It would be very well worth it to the community and make the process of creating new clothes to be much easier. Would you mind trying to find someone to organize such a task? I might try to do so myself, but I have my doubts that I'd be taken seriously having not modded anything.

Your help would be very appreciated, please keep me posted on your progress! I wouldn't really call the shorts skimpy though. They're not that bad. If that's what is considered skimpy then I think I'll go ahead and search tha-

And... I am a little offended. I'm not going to judge anyone for making or even using these mods. I understand some people need their fix for that kind of thing, but those are a little ridiculous and in high quantity, which makes me feel a little uncomfortable around here. EDIT: I had a sec to cool off, I apologize for that. It's the internet and inevitable.

No apologies needed ... as you quite rightly said "It's the Internet" What more need be said?

That list by the way is made of ALL separate meshes, I'm not too shore where novice robes fit in the list, and admittedly some of them are similar in design, but they are all there, maybe Skyrim wouldn't crash so often if they WERE all the same mesh, just recolored, at least it wouldn't have to load 5 different meshes when you go to the Mages college, just one mesh and a couple of texture files ... <sigh> Wishful thinking ... Anyway ...

:D

As said, i'm getting used to Nifskope atm, armor integration differs a bit from weapons so i guess it will be solved when i check out an armor tutorial, no idea yet how the ystem works...but got a few other things to do atm.

Still having the same problem Ghosu is having ... I haven't been able to find a single tutorial or help/info page that actually explains how to do this body swap thing. finally got the Alpha property thing worked out (yeah I know it took a while but 'other things to do' and all that) but this 'invisible man' problem is driving me nuts. All we really need is one of the guys who have done this to other armor/clothing to pop in and say "it's easy just do a) then b) then c) then d) and it's done.

Ah well, back to experimenting ...
