genolune
@jones177 You'll have to test all this on your rig as I had a hard time finding your locations. As far as the area left of the Church, where I was running around, this is on a vanilla installation, with the launcher automatically setting everything to Ultra High. I touched no settings. Purr4me
open the file in xedit ,expand it and see all the locations involved. what we need to know is " did this patch effect things that normally lag? stutter or else? OR did the speed increase, smoother? it's not much ,I do know that, I played hell trying to dissect the forums here.we got:Church area hangman's Alley Concord Sanctuary and a few other places pieced together by the most prevalent complaints "with mods ! "Other can Join in the festivities as long as the reports are semi accurate, it's just a test. kitty
genolune
I'm seeing a lot of map markers and a few things so what did you do? That way we have a better idea of what is going on behind the scenes. I think Jones will have the best answer as he/she has the before and after perspective. I am going to run a test on vanila launcher settings for low just to see how the system compares.
Purr4me
I'm seeing a lot of map markers and a few things so what did you do? That way we have a better idea of what is going on behind the scenes. I think Jones will have the best answer as he/she has the before and after perspective. I am going to run a test on vanila launcher settings for low just to see how the system compares.Ok "what did I do " ?well, NV has with in it, some properties drawn from Fo3's Quirks "built in." Those Markers carry with them invisible spheres, trigger barriers if you may. They are gargantuan giant Balls of collisions, with in these Balls, are attached scripts that fire off when you trip them up or pass thru them, but, what gets triggered is clutter mostly, things we care not about...unless you like scrap rock and wood planks? in and around Hangman's ally and the church areas, there are NPC's that lay Dormant and do nothing until these walls of these balls get triggered, then they , each one of these NPC's get littered with scrap objects, Junk at that very moment, this stuff effects the game play in performance only, it has nothing to do with XP or gain of objects. these Items spawn into the game at that moment in time and when you leave the spheres influences, the dissolve. you can't see what's behind you becasue there is nothing there but a void. the game operates like a movie screen. the only "triggers we need not touch are rectangular or square items. How ever, what I did with the map markers was very sensitive, they "can not me moved" in any direction except up or down, the game will not know the height tables, but it will know the horizontal effects and break cell walls. I can possible later on make what I call an diagnostic mod so you can see every thing in game hot you might see in the GECK live. But if you need to see them? I can arrange it. jones177
Hi I used the patch. With a 17 level save with no modded content close by, Zero events around the church. I ran it twice. With a 118 level save with modded NPCs everywhere there were Zero events around the church. Again I ran it twice. With events I mean CPU, GPU, I/0. I also dropped the resolution down from 3840X2160 to 1920X1080 so I could take the GPUs out of the equation. The results were the same. Prepare for PC elitist rant:I am shocked to see how this game looks at 1k. What were they thinking! This game alone is worth the price of a 4k monitor. You can alway play at 2k or 1k on it but to see it in 4k is a wonder. It never gets old.Rant over. I will need some time for the other stuff. I am a bit of a dinosaur. genolune: Unless you have a Samsung 960 EVO SSD in your laptop you are not getting the speed I am talking about. I use a Crucial 1tb mx300. You can see the difference in this chart. http://techreport.com/review/30993/samsung-960-evo-ssd-reviewed/2 Your numbers are fascinating. 4k resolution would not make that much of a difference since I use vanilla textures. The difference may be caused by NPCs(CBBE) in my game or the type of NPCs you encounter in a new game. Later
genolune
What is NV? I remember seeing an NVdebris.txt. The clutter trigger you are referring to was the SAE clutter raider trigger or something right? What does the EMSystemTurf do? Also, I run it in 1920 x 1080 on a 27 inch monitor. I believe the laptop does have the Samsung Evo 960 m2 ssd. I don't remember the system specs right now nor can I find all the parts lists I used to keep handy for all this technical stuff. :( I am running the Mushkin Reactor 1TB on this desktop though. When you say 4K resolution do you mean 4K textures? I'm not a PC elitist by any means, I just did a search to get some information on that and it would be ultra high definition I'm guessing? Personally I don't think the game looks all that bad on lower resolution textures. Mostly because I'm too busy to really care. lol
Purr4me
I have @ my disposal, several type of monitors, rather TV sets. The one I'm working on right now is an 120 inch LG Oled. Top of the line, over $8500,00 + all the other neat gear i use. I use a Hisense 32incher for normal game settings. I use a pro-view Galaxy Android panel / viewer connected Bluetooth to all my systems in the house. NV...is short for Fallout New Vegas game. The clutter trigger you are referring to was the SAE clutter raider trigger or something right?Correct. What does the EMSystemTurf do?That starts all sorts of crazy random things that "can go on" but it's random. It's a big block that ties into the large ball field. The fields are one way...like a mirror to the game functions. once inside, any collisions can't leave it from havoc. Some if not a lot of these overlap thresholds of cells separators, Giant world space blocks you can't see, but some times on a bad system, they are visible like shimmering sheets walls. The very best piece of equipment used for games is a Sony 24 inch unit Oled. you might see them as display units in stores. any way ,the data I rendered for the test covers not even half of what i could cover. I know about Fo4's modding mishaps due to mods moving these things breaking the games functions. we need others testing the data built, though small, it is directly targeting places known to cause issues. if the flow rate increases and the freezing stops, stutters go away? well we know then it's mods and the games properties causing the issues...of that I'm sure. Purr4me
what I'm showing you here is also within Fallout 4's data base.in the front of the building you will see a yellow marker, that's a fast travel marker, with it is a Door marker.Inside this sphere is a giant Collision marker filling up empty space of the building. That ball encompasses all of that. Touch that sphere, and the NPC's "raiders" start up their activity. To show how pronominal these things can be, a phenomena Known as a fast travel CTD takes place, and not only from vault 101 to the school and back, but any where in the wasteland it can occur. The reason: you can only travel into the sphere once your in, you have started up scripts that are running, you can't leave while in battle. The problem is the argo radius is not the same for the NPC's and that sphere. Try to fast travel out will crash the game. How we fixed it in Fallout remastered was adjust it bellow the map, far enough down and further back into the school, there was no walls to cross. Fo4 has these dam things Overlapping each other "tying together" a ton of crap it does not need to do. Fo4 shows how bad things can get. way way over triggered to death the whole world spaces. Now, the church area in and around that spot are not only tied VIA Blocks connected to spheres? Each acting on the other, you have spawn scripts ties to all of that at the same time. I waited a long time to even get involved due to this mess. Rule # 1, the last file in the load order in the games flow "rules the game"...but in this mess? !! I can only hope to make a small, very small dent into it.It's all up to you guys and gals to do the tests. The test esp targets only one master file, takes all of that corrections and brings them down underneath and overriding all the other things in between.
