damanding
So I had finally uploaded CREAtive Clutter. Used archives instead of loose files cause this mod is kinda large. The archives have all the files including the scripts that start the custom injection menu, but for some reason the custom menu isn't appearing in the workshop menu. In all our testing we were using loose files, not archives. I don't have a clue where to begin troubleshooting this. Plus I'm super frustrated after spending more than half the day just trying to get Nexus' site to even load for me so I could upload all the stuff for the mod.
chucksteel
Have you checked the archive to make sure the script really got packed? Sometimes the automated "Create Archive" misses stuff. I have read of others having this problem with scripts packed in archives but, I haven't had the problem myself and don't know the solution, if any. damanding
Yes the scripts are in the archive, I used the Archive2 tool to verify. I did have the archives incorrectly named at first, but even with correct naming I'm still not having luck. Edit to add: I also created them using the Creation Kit rather than manually. So it automatically sorted meshes, materials and scripts in one archive, textures in a separate one. Edited December 24, 2016 by damanding
chucksteel
did you test on a completely new game from before the quest was added? I haven't injected menus but I assume a quest is needed that runs on game start.
damanding
I went back to a vault save that I'm pretty sure hadn't had mods enabled on it.

damanding
So it was a combo of a not actually clean save file and the incorrectly named archive files. Re-packaging now. :pinch:
chucksteel
MyMod - Main.ba2 MyMod - Textures.ba2 The space before and after the dash is important. You also didn't have to repackage, you could have just changed the archive name.
damanding
Re-packaging the zip file. I feel like such an idiot. But then none of us has ever used archives before. :D
chucksteel
got ya, assumed you thought you needed to re-pack the ba2's.
