Avantare
I created a Bethesda account and installed a few mods from their site. Now when I use NMM the Bethesda version runs and none of the mods in NMM load.I went back to the Bethesda site uninstalled the mods I had installed and removed them from my favorites as well.Skyrim still launches the Bethesda version and not the Steam version of Skyrim even when I use NMM.I do have access to my NMM mods through Skyrim now.I have uninstalled then reinstalled NMM, SKSE and SkyUI.NMM will only launch the Bethesda version. When I use SKSE to launch Skyrim SE there appears to be no issues.NMM and Skyrim (original) load and run with no issues. Is there a*.ini file that needs edited perhaps? L3s7ing
1. I don't understand what you mean with bethesda version. There is only the Steam Version, cause Skyrim is only available over Steam. Did you activate all the mod esps in your load order in nmm, before you start Skyrim? They could have been deactivated. 2.. There is no skse for skyrimSE ... if you look at the skse website you will see, that it's currently in work. So, You're using the old skse with new SkyrimSE? That shouldn't work... haven't tried it yet, but none of the functions of skse should work. Maybe it still starts your Skyrim, but nothing other will work. 3. Cause you're using skse, do you also use the "normal" SkyUI from Oldrim? And not the independent version that doesn't require skse? Cause this should also not work. wfandrews
Seems like you are confusing Skyrim with SSE. In NMM you should have two different games Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition. None of the mods you have for Skyrim will show up in Skyrim Special Edition and none of the mods you have for SSE will show up in Skyrim.
quicksilverva
Actually, that is not true. Skyrim mods, for the most part, will work in Skyrim Special Edition. However, mods specifically for Skyrim Special Edition will NOT work in Skyrim.
L3s7ing
I think you misunderstood. (Even when your statement is right) If I understood correctly it was just about the game sections in the nmm. Avantare
@L3s7ing and @wfandrewsThanks for the replies. Huge mental poot from me on this. Both games play wonderfully well and I'm loving SE!Can't wait for more mods to come out.Getting NMM to work was a piece of cake after I updated the the latest version.@quicksilvervaExperimenting with Skyrim mods in Skyrim Second Edition the ones that have issues are the re-texturing, skinning types. Others not falling in that ilk appear to function pretty well from the mods that I use.Skyrim SE mods in Skyrim though result in various issues ranging from horrible graphics (tearing, ripping, etc), graphics colors (LOOK! A 3 yo colored this. :-P ),locking the game up (even had one time it locked up my machine, had to use the power switch to turn it off) and a plethora of CTD's.Happy New Year to each of you and save those Septims.Avantare

Whatever is available for the SE is what I'll use. Sheesh! I've been reading and researching for days! I haven't even logged into the game yet.
Vattende
@ Ayahuasca1, there isn't trouble, give it a try. Launch it first in vanilla, look what the special edition looks like, what new stuff was added. Figure out what you like and what not, then chose wisely some nice mods. There are lot of great mods for Skyrim SE out now, and i'm sure you will like more than one of the new or ported mods. The best advice is sitll adding one mod after the other, one by one, and not adding to much at once. Have fun !
BIGBLOCK101
Can't get nexus mod managr to install any Skyrim SE mods. I have tried downloading with anti virus disabled, tried downloading manually and adding to NMM. And they are SE mods, and it's a completely new Skyrim SE install. It keeps saying "a problem occurred during install" and then when I click on that it talks about zip having a problem.

Not sure if this will help you but is what I do with SSE and NMM.Find a mod that interests you, download it MANUALLY, launch NMM then install the mod. To avoid any mod conflicts read the install instructions BEFORE installing the mod as you can potentially cause some serious issues when playing.
