False "save corruption" during gameplay

It has to be a resource problem. I think it is caused by not having SKSE64. I lot of mod authors used scripts in the place of SKSE64 to allow the player to control or modify the mod. So we end up with a lot more scripts running than in Oldrim.

Not only that but some mod authors aren't properly transferring resources over and making things with the new CK. There are slews of oldrim mods "ported" over, and not properly. I have a good feeling this is compounding the issue.

I was getting the corrupt saves about every ten minutes of play. I took out the following mods which have scripts or are patches for mods with scripts:

Follower Trap Safety
Moonpath to Elsweyr SSE
JR's Immersive Start Patch
Ambriel - The Lost Princess (Fully Voiced and Quest) SE
L u n a
Luna UNP Dry Skin
Even Better Quest Objectives - 1.5.8a
Alternate Start - Live Another Life Patch
Cutting Room Floor Patch - Updated
The Paarthurnax Dilemma Patch
Populated Skyrim HELL EDITION
Amazing Follower Tweaks SSE (Dheuster's Original)
My Home is Your Home
True BatForm

and was able to play for over a hour before I got the corrupt saves.

Next I am going to start running mods through the CK and see if that helps any.

I did have Ambriel installed at one point, but I never actually got into doing the questing, and I hate to say it but the initial voice acting really turned me off to it (I'm very very picky about custom voice acting) and ran through resaver and found it was the 2nd heaviest string mod I had (at that point in the game, anyways). So I did remove her, I also have Luna, but I had never gotten to the point of being able to recruit her (I install a bunch of random follower mods and just play through normally, I want to find everything on my own), but am a bit surprised to see that's she's script heavy?

EBQO I'm running, AS-LAL, and Paarth are shared as well. Not sure I could give up LAL, though the other 2 I could do without. I'm currently playing around in oldrim atm though (Archery Gameplay Overhaul has been sorely missed in SE) to see if I might be able to reproduce the issue, but it seems to be SE only.

Might try removing EBQO and Paarth mods and see what results that gives me.

If you are using SKSE in oldrim then that fixes for the most part the resource problem.

Ah... well.... that explains a lot.

I had a hunch when SKSE64 was released, some of the issues in SE would go away. I wasn't sure on the actual mechanics though, I just figured.

Here is a list of mods and how many strings they start out with.

Alternate Start - Live Another Life Patch - 104
Amazing Follower Tweaks SSE (Dheuster's Original) -390
My Home is Your Home - 251
Wet and Cold - 261
Bring Out Your Dead - 244
Run For Your Lives - 163
When Vampires Attack - 168
Campfire - 131
Followers can Relax - 100
Falskaar - 220
Gray Fox Cowl - 122
Hartmere Isle - 100
Vilja in Skyrim - 298
Bathing Beauties or Beefcake - Luxury Suite - 201
Notice board - 230
Undeath - 122
Unread Books Glow - 104
Wet and Cold - 262
Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim - 125

I took out most of these in my build and got my starting string count to less than 35000. I have to test it out now and see how long I can play without the false save corruption showing up.

Already said this in an earlier post here in June, but I concur that this must be a resource issue of some sort. Whether Bethesda did it deliberately or not is pointless to speculate about. I tend to get the issue after an hour or two of playing. Recently I decided to remove a bunch of mods I wasn't using, some small and some bigger.

Among the bigger I removed was Vilja (she is very well made but her Swedish accent is horrendous) and Organic Factions (since it has been taken down from the nexus atm anyway). I also removed a bunch of armor and weapon mods I wasn't using. I still have three big companion mods installed (four if you count Interesting NPCs), namely M'rissi, Inigo and Aurlyn. I don't really want to get rid of them, so I'll test my game out now see if there is any difference. I also still have AFT installed but I might remove that as well, since frankly I very seldom use more than two companions at most. Any more is just a mess.
