ttc1980
Hello fellow modcrafters! I was wondering if there is a way to make the Sneak-activated Poison Cloak effect of the Ebony Mail into a permanent ability, so that I don't have to wear the Ebony Mail and still get the exact same shadowy effect every time I sneak?I know of a mod that gives you a Spell Tome that once read, grants Invisibility as an automatic effect every time you sneak: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70173/?I have tried tweaking the above mod, replacing the Invisibility effects with the Poison Cloak ones... But once I read the Spell Tome, somehow the Poison Cloak effect exists whether I sneak or not. :sad:Would some kind soul out there share their expertise and effort with me, perhaps as part of the holiday spirit? :tongue:Thank y'all kindly, and Merry Christmas! MShoap13
I'd go dig into how Ebony Mail functions. It sounds like it has a script adding a Spell to the player which then applies a Magical Effect. You need to know where in the chain the Sneaking conditional is in order to properly replicate it. lofgren
I don't believe it is a script, I believe the conditions are one the enchantment. Open the enchantment in the CK, double click on the muffle effect. You should see a list of conditions in the window that opens. Right click on the conditions and select Copy All. Then create a new ability and add the same muffle effect to it, with the same magnitude. Right click in the condition window and select Paste. The condition should be something like Subject isSneaking == 1.0. Repeat that process with the poison cloak effect in the same ability if you also want the poison cloak. (The condition for the cloak should be something like subject isincombat == 1.0.) You can add the spell to your pc through the console, by script, or by creating a spell tome for it.
