Crashes to desktop on wait and fast travel.

I didn't have this problem to often until I downloaded theFXAA Post Process Injector mod and the Enhanced Shaders mod, so I have a feeling it has something to do with those mods. I'm using a i5 2500k @3.3GHz with 8GB RAM and a GTX 570 if that helps. I'm new to this so I'm not exactly sure what could be causing it to crash. Has anyone else experienced the same problem? If you need more info let me know.

Maybe. It was one of the two mods I forgot I installed when I had a similar problem having updated to 1.3.10. Once I deleted that one (and another texture mod) the problem went away. Until then I was stuck using 1.2.10. The problem for me (and maybe you) is actually related to a save - if you have "save on wait" and "save on fast travel" enabled, for example. With me the problem also manifested itself on manual save, on entering a new "zone" (e.g. through a door) which triggered a save etc etc.

 

I *had* blamed the texture mod (which was the other thing I forgot I'd installed when I thought I'd deleted "all" the mods and was still getting repeatable crashing) but now the suspicion must fall on this FXAA Injector mod. .

 

In any event: uninstall it / delete it/ get rid of it and see if your problem goes away. If it does, you don't really need to know WHY kit was making it crash, just that it did. If it doesn't solve the problem, uninstall ALL mods (even the ones you forgot about :) and put them back one by one testing after each one. Oh, and I recommend using NMM - and if a mod isn't compatible (with the exception of ScriptDragon and SKSE and similar things of high repute) pass on by ...
