Holographic Pipboy

To replace the old clunky pipboy, I would very much like to see a "holographic pipboy".

There's already a "hide pipboy" mod, this idea would expand on that mod.

 

Instead of the actual pipboy, pressing tab would pop up a holographic screen, showing the full pipboy interface without the actual wristwatch model.

It could be built into glasses or a sort of head implant. The latter would expand on the idea that the player character is a synth.

Holographic Pipboy It's the wrist version though. So maybe something like you hit tab and it displays the screen on your eyes like the Power Armor hud?

The power armor HUD is pretty similar to what I'm looking for. But instead, pressing tab would force you into first person and display the pipboy interface.

Pressing tab again returns you to the game. Something tells me it's not hard to do, but with my utter basic modding "skills" I still don't know how to achieve it.

So I'm near to understanding your concept. I wonder how the New Vegas modders made the Pipboy Readius? If you equip glasses, hit tab, pop up the Pip-Boy screen, and hit tab to close it seems easy enough. I just wonder if the arm animation is needed.

That's what I wanted to know too. Obviously if the arm animation is absolutely necessary, this kind of mod would not be possible.

 

I haven't seen anything like pipboy glasses or even just a holographic popup without animation.

 

Naturally the most ideal outcome would be if it still occupied the same equipment slot, but would no longer display as an oversized wristwatch.
