Westinpeace
PLEASE HELP!!! So I bought Skyrim for my PC not special edition or anything like that. I ended up making a custom follower she pretty much is totally vanilla all she has is a modded hairstyle and shes also a vampire. Had that working fine and all that for a while but today I bought all the DLCs including Dawnguard. When I booted up Skyrim after downloading all the DLC my follower did not have the Dawnguard vampire appearance so I went to boot up creation kit to fix. Went through creation kit and the Dawnguard Vampire appearance showed up just fine on the preview window in the creation kit even her modded hairstyle showed up in the preview her war paint makeup and everything there. Pushed after tampering with her appearance a little push ok. Highlighted her name push Ctrl + F4 got the pop up window for the Ctrl + F4 option pushed Ok on the Done! Pop up. Went save and then this error message pop up PATHFIND: NavMeshInfo in cell POIPineForeest24, Has a portal with no navmesh, removing the portal I pushed Yes to All thinking it was another annoying error message the ones we always get when we start up Creation Kit but don’t recall ever getting it before. . .Booted up Skyrim and took a good look at my follower to see she has no hair and is bald with no makeup or war paint and also her head is a different color from her body. . .I had this problem before and LEARNED to push Ctrl + F4 and have tried many times to fixed this googled ever where AND YES I do have the hairstyle mod set as an active file. I’ve also tried having it not set as the active file. I’ve tried many things it’s as if the Creation kit is not accepting my Ctrl + F4 Command OR NOT ACCEPTING MY SAVE OR it’s also because of the ERROR message (PATHFIND: NavMeshInfo in cell POIPineForeest24, Has a portal with no navmesh, removing the portal) Error I get when I try to save after I press Ctrl + F4. sexyangel
Hello there sweetie, that message Error: NavMeshInfo in cell POIPineForeest24 is from the game itself it's nothing that you did wrong. I too and all get that who mod on CK. Sounds like you need to go back and look at your modded follower again does she have the greyface thing if so then yep you need to watch some quick fix video's on fixing greyface problem but take heart thats very common when making new followers, you will figure it out. Agian the error message you are getting has nothing to do with your mod that you have made.Sounds to me when you added all the DLC's did you remember to go back into the main file and add the .bsa files so CK will add them to your mods and not just be adding only the main Skyrim file? Here ya go watch the beginning of this video and it explains what I mean by adding the DLC's to your main files. MShoap13
That NavMesh error is not what's causing your problem. It literally happens every time you open any plugin in the CK.
Kroekr
By any chance did you clean your masters with TesVEdit? This is only needed if you mod and since you made a mod, you should clean them. You don't say how many other mods you have but did you sort your load order with LOOT? Have you located the cell in question in the CK or TesVEdit? Where are you placing your follower (what cell)? monsto
By any chance did you clean your masters with TesVEdit? This is only needed if you mod and since you made a mod, you should clean them. How "standard" or "required" is this? Is it stated somewhere (like creationkit.com) that it's something you need to do when creating a mod? Edited December 28, 2016 by monsto
Kroekr
When you play straight vanilla, there is no need to clean the masters. However, the number of ITM's and UDR's in the DLC's are unbelievable. The post here https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4591610-guide-skyrim-manually-cleaning-master-files/ is by someone that has more knowledge than I do (not to demean them but the average gerbil knows more than me). I read somewhere on these forums back in March or April that it is required in order to mod. Since my memory is as reliable as an icecube surviving a 10 minute blast from a flame thrower I can't remember which stickied post it came from. Didn't work, well some of the steps I followed never popped up. Not a clue what I did wrong.
