Fallout 3 incompatable with Windows 10

I am finding out that since I upgraded to Windows 10 there are drawbacks.

This biggest one I have just encountered is with Fallout 3. It seems that Fallout 3 is not compatible with Windows 10. There are some fixes out there but I am not familiar with methods they are using.

Is it possible for someone to come up with a mod or patch to fix this issue. Or if there is one where can I find it.

It works fine for me without any special measures, there was an issue with a Win 10 update but that has since been fixed, make sure Win 10 and your video drivers are up to date. Also install NVAC, it says New Vegas but it also works in 3 http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53635/? requires FOSE.

I have done all of that, thank you for the information, but I still cannot get Fallout 3 to start. I hit the button on my computer and it just doesn't start at all.

The simpliest idea - set the launching file to run in compatibility with Win 8. Not sure that Win 10 is can be a problem but you can try this.

2. Where is the game installed at ?
3. Is it retail or steam version?
4. Have you downloaded this yet? (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/ajax/downloadfile?id=1000020909) IT has files you need.
5. Have you installed this yet? (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549) you Just need that installed, not Logged on or into.
