FedRandomNumber
When I use pipboy, it's information I want. And even when I move the pipboy as close as I can, the screen with info only takes 760x600 pixels (and I'm being generous here) out of 1900x1080.That is 456.000 of 2.052.000 pixels. That is 22,2% of avalible space (wow! that's a ot less than it seems at a first glance).I know, the pipboy is one of the beloved symbols of Fallouts, but come on... I'm pretty sure making the player hold the pipboy closer to his face should be easy any decently experienced modder with a geck installed (it's probably a little animation tweak, right?).It would be nice if it had some ini so that everyone could balance their desire for information visibility and aestetic taste, but two or three presets (throught using different mod package) shoud be enough to fullfill most of the needs of those who want to hold it closer. HanFyren
Just checking if you know that right clicking the pip-boy moves it closer to the face.
FedRandomNumber
Just checking if you know that right clicking the pip-boy moves it closer to the face.Yeah.By default it is 640x480 of 1920x1080 (again - that's generous). 15%.Unless you want to tell me there is some special way or place to click to make it really close? AGreatWeight
Have you altered you fov setting?...as this will have an effect on how far away (or close) the PipBoy looks when your viewing it.
genolune
So what settings will allow the Pip-Boy to be in your face?
AGreatWeight
FOV setting of 90 should make the PipBoy so close that all you can see is the display when your looking at it (default FOV is 70 for those who don't know) Edited January 3, 2017 by AGreatWeight
genolune
Have you tested that out yet?
AGreatWeight
Me? It happens all the time as I use FOV a lot for screenarching, I'll forget that I've altered the FOV and open up the PipBoy and the display is the only thing I can see.(apologies Genolune if your comment wasn't directed at me)
genolune
What setting did you use? What command did you use? I just tried it with first and third person set to 90 and it made it smaller. Setting the fov to 50 made it too big and it was glitchy after that. I used the following:fov 90 90fov 50
AGreatWeight
My bad, I really shouldn't be on the forums when I should be asleep. I meant (FOV) 60, not 90! Edited January 4, 2017 by AGreatWeight
