ComicKaze
Hi, I'm trying to make a companion character mod and I have a few questions. Forgive me for asking a really dumb question but I've never figured out why there is an "n" file. IE: bodytexture.dds and bodytexture_n.dds. What difference is there? I have never been able to figure out so whenever I edited characters, I randomly picked either. My second question pertains to character personalities and dialogue. I want this character to not smile, I don't like how the facial mesh gets distorted when characters make expressions such as smiling. I prefer the straight face or the pouty/frightened expression when they are talking, I just don't want her to smile. How do I accomplish this? Thanks. LFact
(filename)_n means it's normal map. It's for bump mapping, I think.
ComicKaze
(filename)_n means it's normal map. It's for bump mapping, I think. Ah, so applying a _n texture, then it would be bump-mapped versus smooth in the game?
LFact
For some case, ie. clothing, it may not be shown('transparent') without normal map.
