It was my first time visiting Riften. After dealing with the gate guards attempt at extortion I entered the city, only to have all the townspeople within draw assorted weaponry and rush me in a vicious mob. I just had time to draw my sword and raise it to block the first attack, when the frenzied citizens streamed past me and beat to death a Bandit Chief who had followed me into the city.

Later, while in the marketplace, I noticed a mysterious hooded figure leaning casually against the wall of Balimunds place. Approaching the cowled man, he abruptly screamed "We are routed! Fall back!" and drew a dagger, fleeing towards the city gates. Five guards moved to swiftly cut him down. Apparently he was a thief.

Exiting the city and moving through the farmland and smallholdings of the Rift, I came across a Rift hold guard dueling with an Imperial trooper on a farmstead, while the farmer looked on. The Riften guard won the fight with sword and shield - much later when I passed that way again and the Rift had changed hands due to the treaty at High Hrothgar, I found the guard had exchanged his weapons for a two-handed battleaxe and was proceeding to murder yet another Imperial trooper. Apparently he hadn't gotten the missive that the Rift was now Imperial territory.

My Redguard later moved on to Windhelm. While approaching the city in the middle of a snowstorm, I heard the weird echoing cry that had resounded through the mountains on that fateful day at Helgen, and an Elder Dragon cut down through the blizzard. I raced across the bridge as the dragon rained down fire, and made it to the city gates, hoping to find allies in the Stormcloak garrison. However, the dragon proved too fierce, and the guards began to fall. More than once, I heard the cry of a Windhelm citizen as they too fell victim to the dragons flames. Once again leading the beast out of the city, it began to burn the stables and their occupants, and handily, as I would later discover, a Khajiit assassin sent to dispatch my Bosmer friend from the Thalmor embassy. As my last arrow brought the dragon down, it crashed into the horse and cart always ready outside any major hold, instantly killing the driver who had been looking round bemusedly as the creature set the stable and horses ablaze.

Later, a courier came to find me, informing me that the cart driver, along with some of the citizens of Windhelm, had named me in their wills. Amongst these was the beggar from Windhelm, whom I had given a coin to most times on visiting the city. He had left me 2,000 gold. Where in Ysmir's name did he get that money?

Finally heading for Whiterun, my character passed through Rorikstead, only to find it under attack by bandits. Engaging the bandits alongside two Whiterun hold guards, the fight was interrupted by a familiar roar as this time an Ancient Dragon swept down from above. This dragon, however, proceeded to blast the bandits with frost, as well as dispatch the Whiterun guards, but left the townspeople and my character alone. To this day, that same dragon circles and protects Rorikstead, only assaulting any hostile factions or hold guards that attempt to move through or shoot it. Ragnar the Red is a poor tale by comparison, the bards should sing of the friendly dragon of Rorikstead.

Here you go- a song for the bards to sing. The alternate title bears the name of the dragon awakened by Alduin from the nearby burial mound. He'll actually speak to you if you're non--hostile at first, so it would be nice to think that the guardian dragon in your game is him [Though it probably isn't]

The Dragon of Rorickstead Or Nahagliiv the Benevolent

Oh there was a dragon with talons so red,

Who circled protective over ole Rorickstead

And the bandits did swagger and brandish the blade,

And dreamed of red battle and to be made

But then they went quite those bandits with dreams full of red,

When that noble dragon raised his mighty head;

"This village is mine, and you shall do no ill deed,

Now I think that at last Sovengarde calls an end to your tiid!"

And so there came clashing and slashing of steel,

As mighty Nahagliiv charged full of zeal

And those braggarts and bandits were harmful no more,

When their hideous corpses were charred on the floor!

Just had an amusing one happen. As I was emerging from the Ratway in Riften, I heard someone drawing a dagger above me, but heard no sounds of fighting; I ran up the stairs to see what was going on and saw... a thief loitering around the blacksmith. That was a normal enough event in Riften, but this time nobody was near him when he appeared, so he just put his dagger away, folded his arms, and leaned back against the wall for a well deserved break. Curious to see how he would react to a fellow member of the guild, I walked up to him and several times to engage in conversation, but he just ignored me, so I took a step back...

And a dozen arrows slammed into him within a second of each other.

Apparently every guard in town was alerted to the thief's presence and drew their bows to attack, but were forced to hold their arrows until I was clear. They continued to fire in unison another two times before the poor thief was dead.

If I had a mod that increased the number of arrows visible on a body, he probably would have resembled a porcupine.

Haha, excellent! I thank you, sir.

I ended up hiding in a barrow to escape from two especially tough dragons that would not give up the... Turns out it was also a Spriggan's home. :']

Somehow the enemies on my current playthrough have become much harder, even after lowering the difficulty, and this character isn't even the strongest one I've made, so I'm not sure what's happened to the leveling system, but it's made for some interesting adventures. Though most of them involve me running through forests and ducking.

At least on the way there I found a book that gave me my final Enchanting level. :D

I was heading to Nocturnal's Santuary where you do the Pilgrim's Path thing at the end of the Thief's Guild questline, and happened upon this gawky youth standing over a wolf carcass yelling "get up! Get up!"

Naturally this piqued my curiosity, so I stopped and talked to him. It turns out he found this staff that had belonged to his grandfather or something and all of a sudden the dead started rising around him. He thought it was his power, even went to the College of Winterhold where they laughed at him and told him it was the staff. So now he was standing out in the middle of nowhere, attempting to raise a wolf from the dead to prove them wrong. Obviously unsuccessfully. I tried to get him to give me the staff, but he would not. So I tried to pick pocket the staff away from him, but he caught me. Annoyed, I killed him and took the rather valuable staff off his corpse.

Then I continued merrily along my way to the Sanctuary.

Exact same thing happened to me, except I was on the quest 'In My Time of Need'.

Anyway. I had just decided I wasn't buying any houses and that I would store everything in the DB Sanctuary, this was after I had completed the main questline. After storing everything and getting a contract, I strolled casually outside, planning to fast-travel to Whiterun and sell some of the random gems I had in my inventory. I couldn't fast travel, though. This confused me, as normally there's nothing bugging me outside the Sanctuary, and I took a glance around. Nope, nothing, and the music was still normal. Sighing, I decided to head over to Dawnstar, just around the corner, so the guards could find whatever-it-was (I was assuming mudcrab) and kill it.

I walked forward and saw nothing over there, no guards or enemies. I decided I'd jump on Shadowmere for a faster ride. I turned around, felt an earthquake as I did so, and came face-to-face with a Blood Dragon.

Then the music started.

Needless to say, its skeleton is now decorating the rocks just outside the Sanctuary.

Had the same experience. Except my dragon is EXACTLY outside the door of the DB sanctuary in Dawnstar. I have to walk through the skeletton to get there.

I can never seem to trigger kill-cams when I want to, so it's always an "unscripted" moment for me when I manage to kill someone in a truly epic situation via kill-cam.

My favorite of them being putting an end to the Butcher in Windhelm: I just find out that the Butcher attempts to kill again at the markets and I'm making a mad-dash out of the palace to get there before it's too late. As soon as I'm outside I summon my Bound Swords as I'm sprinting down the streets of Windhelm. I round the corner and just as I'm coming upon the guy chopping logs for the inn, I see the bastard draw his knife to kill another woman (in broad daylight). At almost literally the last second as I close in on him, swinging my sword, kill-cam activates and I slice into his leg to drop him to his knees before slicing his head off with both weapons. The accompanying shocked outbursts from the spectating shoppers and guards made the situation a thousand times more heroic.

So, I'm a Argonian werewolf/ master wizard and prince of thieves, renowned dragon slayer, and savior of the universe, and just recently Nightingale. I head back to Whiterun after a long quest, saving the thieves guild, killing prehistoric robots, and of course slaying dragons. Satisfied with the past few weeks and my awesome new Nightingale dids, I open the gate to Main Street hoping for a brief vacation back at Breezehome. The one of those ever-omniscient couiers walks up. Despite my best attempt at concealing my identity, he sees right through my disguise! Of course he has a letter for me, and nothing, rain shine, or dragon fire will stop a courier on a mission. He briefly explains whom he had gotten the letter from "a guy in a black hood who I couldn't see his face." Now I'm a fan of irony, but I'm a $#&%ing Nightingale! This is just embarassing! I open the mysterious note, titled "mysterious note" and the only thing it says is "WE KNOW!" with a black, un-finished thanksgiving turkey painting! When I get back to Breezehome, a.k.a HQ, and plop onto the bed for some much needed shut-eye... I wake up in a dirty shack with a creepy *censored* sitting on the bookcase, watching me sleep the whole time. creepy...

Then the other day I was on a good old rampage through the forest near Ivarstead. Ah, I love a good rampage, really clears out your sinuses. So I i'm eating a guy I had just mauled to a bloody wolfy pulp, when a kahjit thief walks up and politely asks me to hand over all my valuables, or he'll gut me like a fish. Now being a werewolf, there's only one thing I like better than a rampage, and that's chasing cats!

One time I walked into Whiterun, and down the street in the main square, somebody had thouroughly pissed off a rogue flame atronach. The hero that I am, I sprint down the street and blast the daedra with a crapload of frost magic while every living soul in town gangs up on it with anything they have on their person. Well, all of about three and a half seconds later two people are dead, the Nord Jon who loiters around Belethor's shop, and the single-mom Carlotta. My work finished, I dismiss Lydia, and head back up the street to the blacksmith. I'm sharpening my blade when a guard walks up and asks me if I saw what happened to the bodies up the street. I said I didn't have to answer any questions, because 1. you were there, and 2. you can't pick me out just because I'm an Argonian! Well he didn't take to kindly to that and put me under arrest!

Another time I was in Solitude. I had left almost everything, my companions, armor, arch-mages's robes, and most of my weapons back at Proudspire to go out and shoot hawks on the bay. I look back a the city, and the most ferocious looking dragon was laying siege to the windmill. I sprint back up the path and toward the gates. I consider going back to get some weapons besides my bow, but I didn't think there was time. Big mistake! We, meaning myself, Odahviing, Durneviir, a couple of storm atronachs, a couple of heroes from Sovngarde, and the entire garrison in Solitude took 30 minutes in real time to take down the beasty, and it ended up killing/resurrecting every guard in the city! it was hands down the best dragon fight ever!

I've been playing a new character nonstop today, and I managed to get pretty far. After messing around a lot I decided to finally go visit the Greybeards. Once I got my new shout upgrades they told me to get Jurgen Windcaller's horn.

I recently got Dragonborn and I knew this meant I would encounter Miraak's cultists the next time I visited a town. A had half a mind to pick a city I don't visit often, so if a townsperson gets eaten by a tentacle monster or something, I wouldn't feel as bad about it. But somehow the whole thing slipped my mind on the way down from the mountain and I ended up in Riverdale in the middle of the night. Sure enough, two female cultists walked up to me and started talking smack. It was kinda funny because one of the Whiterun guards walked right passed them while they were going on about ripping my heart out, and he was like: "Evening, ladie... Wait what?"

It was actually pretty fortunate it was night and everyone was home asleep, because they summoned a flame atronarch and started flinging fire all over the place. As it turned out, only that one guard died before we managed to kill the cultists. The rest of the guards went to sleep, I think, so now it was just me, some farm animals and two dead cultist women.

Having kind of a juvenile and perverse sense of humour, I decided to strip them naked and leave them as a kind of morbid present to Hod and Gerdur. So I relieved the stiffs of their clothes and dragged them over to the front door of their house, placing them so that whoever in the household left the house first might trip and fall face first into a pair of dead naked dunmer women.

(Believe it or not, this is not the weird part of this story.)

Once I was finished, I immediately changed my mind, deciding that leaving them in front of Faendal's door would be much funnier. So I grabbed one of the bodies and carried her over to Faendal's house, putting her down in front of the door just like I did at Hod and Gerdur's house. Suddenly I could heard fotsteps behind me. I assumed it was one of the guards or a villager walking around at night for some reason.

Then I turned around and saw Hod and Gerdur's cow that had followed me to Faendal's house. I have seriously never seen that creature move more than a few steps in any direction, let alone actually take a walk outside of the fence. I didn't even know it could do that.

The cow marched straight up to Faendal's porch, turned to me and gave me a serious look. Then it turned to the dead woman and looked at her for a few moments. Then it turned around and walked straight back to where it used to stand. I swear to Sheogorath the cow was trying to decide if I had stolen the corpse from its master.

It let me move the other body without incident, though.

Trying out a new character now. I don't know why, but for some reason weird stuff keeps happening with this one.

This once I spent the night at the inn in Rorikstead, As I headed out of town in the morning, I suddenly heard the moan a male character makes when he dies, so I turn to see Rorik himself fall dead to the ground. I don't think he was killed by anything in particular, je seriously just keeled over and died, I think he had a heart attack or something. I carried the body to one of the guards, but he didn't seem to care at all.

As I left Rorikstead to mourn its founder, I spotted a lone vampire running across the tundra. I ran over to her and expected a fight, thinking it a bit strange to see a single vampire running around in broad daylight. She completely ignored me, though, and just kept running. I got curious so I started to follow her. I think she was sprinting the whole way because I almost lost track of her several times. She ran through the entire hold, mostly keeping to the road, and only turned hostile when encountering wolves and other creatures. She never attacked people, though.

Eventually she made it all the way to White River Watch and started fighting the bandits guarding the entrance. Still curious about what the heck she was doing, I helped her defeat the bandits, and she ran straight inside. I followed her and killed the rest of the bandits as well. The vampire then stopped about halfway into the cell. She refused to speak with me but still wasn't hostile. She just stood there in one of the main chambers, doing nothing.

I noticed she seemed to be injured, so I tried casting healing magic on her. Apparently she enterpreted that as an attack, though, and turned hostile. Only, she still didn't seem to want to fight me: She just turned herself invisible and ran away. (I could mostly still see her, though.) Unable to convince her I was a friend, I gave up and ascended to the top of the dungeon, killing the bandit leader. When I returned down the vampire had left and I never saw her again. I still have no idea who she was or why she felt she needed to go to White River Watch.

Also, sometimes when I'm in a fight, for some reason the Companions will show up out of nowhere and help me out, even though I'm not a member of their faction.
