Flint925
Title says it all. I'm using FOSE launched from FOMM. I'm on an Hp Quad-Processor Laptop (I doubt this is the issue) and can run Skyrim and FNV at high quality settings without any problems. The game starts perfectly. I press NEW GAME, skip the intro, and go to my birth. Here's where the problems start. The game freezes sometime between the initial start of the scene up until after I have altered my appearance. I have tried multiple times without mods on, I have invalidated archive, I have used some .ini edits I found on the wiki (bUseThreadedAI=1 and iNumHWThreads=2). Task manager says Fallout 3 is not running. I got the game (GOTY edition) from steam literally 24 hours before this post, and I have added FOSE by copying and pasting all FOSE files into program files x86 / steam / steamapps / common / Fallout 3 GOTY. I have no earthly idea what I have done wrong. I have not tried to reinstall F3 but I may end up trying that. Any help is appreciated. Flint925
Oh and also the only mod I am using at the moment is pip-boy 2500 because I hate the default pip-boy. I use it because I've had to deal with the 3000 on console for 3 years now. I don't know if this could cause any problems, as the New Vegas version is perfectly fine on my game. Thanks. M48A5
Does your system hardware meet the minimum requirements to run this game? The usual problem with running Fallout 3 on a laptop is that the video chip is not up to the task placed upon it by the graphics in Fallout 3.
