AmRussian
First post here so bare with me through this. Inspiration: Well I bought my first home in whiterun and never gave much thought cause it was crap. Lets be honest here. anyway a eventually got around to buying vindril hall in markarth. I was like woah, it still is my favorite home. I spent literally 4 hours slowly maneuvering every little item to a nice spot which was a pain in the ass because you have to be creative with corners to get it in the right position and EVERYTHING is top heavy so by the time I tried to place it, it was upside down. finally I finished. I logged off cause of my headache from the daunting task. When I logged back in it was all over the floor. I was like WTF!!!!!!! I logged back off and saw it was common with everybody. Solution: Now I have never ever coded anything but a webpage as a student in marketing so I do not know how difficult this would actually be. Perhaps like the command follower option with items. You can pick them up wherever you want to, (So if you pick up from the top thats how its held, not from the middle of it.) A way to rotate the item perhaps with the arrow keys, and an easier way to maneuver the item once it is on a surface, (Maybe you can fix it onto an object and from there move it back and forth with the arrow keys.) that would fix the majority of issues with the currently stupid system. Cool Ideas To Go With It: Being able to record notes in empty books (Repaired ruined books?) or on rolls of paper Being able to flip to a page and have the book open on said page. Opening a roll of paper. Obtaining maps and jabbing daggers in certain spots (So routinely seen throughout Skyrim.) Craftable racks, mannequins, cases Etc. Movable furniture, Jewelry racks, Locks for your stuff cause everyone else has them. Having an open drawer instead of all closed, Wall chests, Quilts for the bed, Fish tank, Dog pen, Pots to put whatever plant you want to grow in, Dying fires, More intractable items (Such as putting a quill in an inkwell,) MOVABLE PRONGS ON THE STUPID TABLE, Among countless others I can not think of at the moment. Conclusion: I might just be a lone decorator here but I know PC gamers and they enjoy stuff like this. most of the stuff I thought of serves no practical purpose in game but I know I am not the only one bickering over this. This may be a walk in the park or like coding a whole new game, I do not know. I would love to hear thoughts or ideas or ridicule if I am the only one who does this. Hopefully someone with mod skills will read and give me an idea of the difficulty. Thanks, AmRussian P.S. Hope my english is okay, it is a second language to me. jmlport98
First of all, stop using caps at the front of every word. It's annoying. About the items, 99% of them will be out and about the internet when the Construction Set is finally released...
MonkersX
Your English is fine but you don't need to capitalise every single word haha! :D And how does resetting of cells work in homes? I know if you leave an item there it should stay, but once I Fus'd my house and there was cheese everywhere. Eventually I went back and it had reset to the table though? As far as I know they reset because of being original parts of the house. When you place new items they fly about.

Good on the OP for humbly and patiently responding to rude (if accurate) advice. As MonkersX stated, many of the decorative items you have requested will exist in some form once the creation set is released. Whether or not they will all be available in the same home is doubtful, but you could always use pieces from other people's mods to design your dream home. Just don't release that kind of mod to the internet, as there will be copyright issues. As for item placement, there was a great little mod for Oblivion called "Summon Decorator Assistant", that allowed to precisely position objects, then lock them into place when you were satisfied. I have every confidence that we will see a Skyrim version in the near future, as it is almost a necessity to be able to enjoy the game at this point. One of the most enjoyable things is the real estate for me. I am also hoping to see more homes in Skyrim to buy. That would also be good. If I may I did not understand your first sentence about the OP. I do now know what you mean by that :P. Thanks Again!
