new mod campaign with "Nazi-vibe"

Dear community,

while finishing Nuka World and getting more and more into the Fallout lore, I had the idea of creating my own mod campaign. However I don't really have much experience with modding and would really need all sorts of help to realize the project.

 

As of now it's just a quick idea with no real course or planning. But I think it would be interesting to add a little Nazi-vibe to the Fallout universe. Hence there was in fact a certain amount of Nazi scientists and intelligence working for the US after WWII to fight the communists in all sorts of fields, I think it would be plausible that this would've also been the case in the Fallout universe.

The campaign could feature at least one scientist of german heritage whose family fleed to the US in the time span between WWII and the Resource Wars. This scientist would also be the main quest giver and plot device and would introduce the player into a small enclave (i.e. secret vault) of "Nazi culture" and possibly postwar german culture which was heavily influenced by the US. And the main goal could be the elimination of a hidden communist base located in the mountains (similar to the chinese base in FO3) riddled with communist chinese and/or russian ghouls. And all along the plot there would be questionable choices which in the end would reveal the hidden agenda of the german scientist (who could be a descendant of Wernher von Braun).

About myself: I'm 27 years old, from Germany and have a master's degree in political science and modern history. Currently I'm working at a startup as a project manager (so structuring the whole process wouldn't be a problem) and have experience in designing and developing new creative projects. Additionally I really loved the custom map editor from WC3 (I created hundreds of own campaigns) and of course Vault 88.

 

So if anyone has any advice or is even interested in creating a campaign like that with me feel free to reply to this thread.

It was done from the start.. we called it Enclave :smile:

Haha, well yes but the enclave rather captures the ultra-fascist and eugenic aspects but leaves out the "goofy" and ridiculously inconsistent and pseudo-religious esoteric Nazi-culture and the b-movie image with accentric dialects etc.

True. For advice - do you want to do this? Without any proof of work already done it's difficult to capture anyone's interest in working with you. Nobody wants to do someone else's work, you know? SO I'd suggest studying the wiki for CK and at least laying some basics for your desired mod, then showing the community what you got and asking for what you need.
