Mods!

Hey. i'm seeing all of these mods, and i think i may have some good ideas for some.. can anyone make them? or do you have to have certin programs?... :confused:

To make mods, the Elder Scrolls Construction Set is the only thing required, though you might look into OBSE, if you need more scripting options and don't yet have it. If you do decide to try your hand at modding, there are a lot of good tutorials to be found on the Construction Set (CS) wiki.

Ok i downloaded the construction ket.. and it's freaking awesome! but where do i find the tutorials?

The Getting Started tutorials can be found here, of which my personal favorite is A Beginner's Guide.

After you finish the beginners guide, there are some tutorials here http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showforum=200

 

But until you know your way around the construction set well they won't help much. Everything else uses the CS to actually put things into the game.

 

Warning, the CS is not easy and can be very frustrating. But moding itself is addictive and its great when you see someone else using something you made in their game.

I wondered where to get the goodies to do mods. Saved me some work on running it all down. Bless your hearts, bben46 and LoginToDownload. Been thinking of trying a hand with Oblivion mods in a few months when I (hopefully) finish doing the Thief FMs I'm working on. Again, thanks.
