IAmDarkPhoenix
I think it is the gff editor you are using.Previously I was using the editor version I use for NWN2.I made the same changes with the gff editor that comes with the Dragon Age Toolset and it worked to change Leliana from stock hazel eyes to shedevil lime eyes... Have you ever succeeded in adding eye textures to a .mor that didn't have them? Yes, that's exactly what I did in that Alistair morph... it started out with the Bioware texture and a hazel tint; I removed the tint and added the Dracomies texture. I use the pyGFF 'pff4editor' for .mor edits. Finally! .. it WAS the version. All this time I have been using the DAToolset app file and not the DA GFF Editor app within the same folder. I never figured they were different. It explains a lot of headache with other modifications I've been trying to do that others have been able to do no problem. PS I thought I was the only one who wondered what 'YMMV' meant
IAmDarkPhoenix
Hey, I just found out how to change the eye texture on your created character. I used the Dragon Age Face Re-placer ( http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/428/?) to extract the .mor file from a game I had saved Changed the eye texture on line #28 (thank you olnorton & theskymoves) using the DAToolSet GFF Editor saved the .mor file and placed it in my Override folder Then opened the savegame went to savegame_playerchar >> savegame_playerchar_char >> savegame_appearance >> savegame_appearance_morph_name Added the name of the .mor on that line Saved the File ... and viola! I didn't have to re-make my character but I got to change the eye texture! The re-placer gives you the option to change the texture but it didn't work for me and some other people apparently, so I used this method
theskymoves
Oh, gosh.... I didn't realize you were trying to change your PLAYER character. As you've discovered, that's a special circumstance (as the details of the PC morph is retained in the saved games; NPC morphs are not) and requires actually replacing the morph info in the save. Sorry for being so dense... I didn't connect the initial request for a way to use eye textures in the CC with the desire to add a texture to an existing .MOR.
Thandal
@IAmDarkPhoenix; Oh wow! I'm so slow. I've used the "Extract .mor with DA Face Replacer => Toolset editor to change tints" method to adjust the hair colour on already created characters for years. (Obviously it helped that I already knew the numeric values of the colours I wanted to use.) Here I thought your issue was much more complicated than that.
IAmDarkPhoenix
It's actually all my fault. I wanted both to change my player character and others as well. I should have been more specific and conveyed what I was looking for better. I'll place and edit remark in the inital request earlier in the thread so if someoe wants the information in the future they will understand. You both are FAR from dense! LOL! You all have provided a lot of information anyone can use
olnorton
I would also like to change the eye texture/use the shedevil eyes on a character I want to create I would just create your new character in the toolset, it gives you far more options, and you'll be able to see the texture eyes at creation time. But the big advantage is you will have the .mrh and can make subtle changes at any time, if say you get in game and decide the eyes are a bit too far apart or something. You can just edit the .mrh and save it as a .mor I made a quick tutorial here. http://bsn.boards.net/thread/1881/modding-npcs
