lethielnyrond Posted January 9, 2017 Share Posted January 9, 2017 It's happened three times now. I open up NMM and all my mods are suddenly deactivated. The plugins are still ticked and everything still works, but the Mods tab just shows red circles. The first time I painstakingly installed each mod one by one, paying attention to precedence and testing every so often. The second time, this morning, I did some mods in batches, where they didn't have any connections, and others one at a time. The third time, this afternoon, I just started playing, and as I say everything was still there and still worked as far as I can see, so what I'm assuming is that NMM is lying about the red circles. I don't think it's any specific mod causing this. I have just recently reinstalled Skyrim SE, NMM and all the tools, and reconstructed my mod setup from scratch, after Skyrim simply stopped working altogether. If I have to do that again I think I'll go play something else. I'd really rather spend more time playing Skyrim than tinkering about trying to make it work. Windows laptop, i7 processor, GTX 960 graphics card, 8Gb RAM, running Windows 10 and has played SSE perfectly happily. I have about 200 mods (what I'm going to do when SKSESE comes out I do not know) and can supply list if it would help. Can anyone enlighten me as to what's going on here? Kroekr Posted January 10, 2017 Share Posted January 10, 2017 For starters, if you use the [soiler] [/soiler] where soiler is spoiler you wont take up a lot of space. Have all of those mods been officially ported over to SSE by the authors? Is NMM installed in Program Files? If so, that can cause UAC issues with NMM and mods not working. No. Some of them I have converted myself for personal use because I couldn't imagine a Skyrim without them. They have all been successful prior to this and I haven't converted anything new in the fortnight before this problem showed up. 3 and 4. I'm fairly sure NMM is not in Program Files, but not whether it's on the same hard drive as my main Steam installation. I will check that. (EDIT: no, it isn't.
