jjb54
Yesterday (Sunday - 1/8), the Armor Workbench worked just fine. Today, I went to upgrade some armor for Erik the Slayer ( Nordic Armor ) and it will update the "cost" to the upgrade. But the armor rating stays at ZERO ?? No matter what armor I try to upgrade, even simple leather armor, the price goes up as expected but the Armor rating stays at ZERO? There have been NO new mods, no Mod Upgrades .. nothing changed between the time but the hours I last played. The Grind Wheel works good. Both improvement in Cost and Damage are shown as being upgraded. So this is specific to the workbench. I did go to 3 different locations and all benches do the same? 2 were my homes and 1 was at Adriana's Bench, in Whiterun. At first I thought that maybe it was over powered* and so did it with NO Potion or such enchantments on my clothing. Just everyday - boring smithing clothes with no enchantments or smithing potions. * Though the Grind wheel again works just fine. With or without potions / enchanted clothing. Any thoughts as to what I might look at? I have a 3 armor mods. But they just add new armor to the game and nothing more and I was not trying to upgrade those. Was going to give Erik some Nordic Armor. Thanks .. .. Jj ...
pathtopower
Start a new game. Check the smith bench or weapon bench and do a simple craft. If you see this problem occur in the new game, this means you got a mod conflict that screwed up something in the script behind the crafting system. If not, you got simple save corruption and you just need to load a prior save like 3-5 hours prior and check if this problem existed back then. I did and sadly it looks like the game is corrupted. :( I wish I knew what caused it? I know, there is no way of telling. Thanks! .. Jj ...
