Hi guys,

Hope somebody out there has experienced this one.....

My old rig:

Q9550 @ 3.7 Ghz

4 GB DDR2 RAM @ 1166 MHz

HD6870 1 GB

Played Skyrim at high\ultra 1920x1200 16xAF 2xSSAA + a shitload of mods.

Mostly outdoors I got 30-40 in day times (Outside Riften, 20ish)

New rig:

i5-2500k @ 5.0 GHz

8 GB DDR3 @ 1600 MHz

HD6870 1 GB ( I know, it's kind of a bottleneck :P, but my second card just give me headaches once enabled in Skyrim)

MSI Z68A-GD55

Same settings as before, but now I'm lucky if I reach 30 fps.... 10-15 is not unusual... WTF !!!!!???

The only thing I can think of is my Windows 7 installation. I did a fresh installation to my blank SSD with a different mobo. Story was I had ordered an Asus board with my i5, but had to RMA it as it turned out it didn't support my GPU. So now, with the new MSI board, I just plugged in my SSD with its "old" windows installation and updated all drivers for the board GPU etc. Do I really need to reformat? 3dmark 2011 is giving me a healthy score of P-8500 in crossfire and P-4400 in single gpu mode.

Help :S
