Terra1ord
I was wondering how to get my vanilla Skyrim back, just the way it comes from steam. I have so many mods now, I can't tell what is game and what is mod anymore. Can I just delete all the local files through Steam/steamapps/common/skyrim or do I have to backup certain files since "uninstalling" from steam just removes the tesv.exe? The only reason I ask is that, I've seen a few threads elsewhere that did remove the entire game, then reinstalled and it never worked right again. Iv000
Delete everything in Skyrim's "Data" folder except the .bsa files and the Skyrim.esm. Also delete everything in your My Documents > My Games > Skyrim folder (Except the Saves folder, unless you want to delete those too)Then let Steam redownload anything that is missing and viola, you have vanilla Skyrim yet again. micalov
Right click your Skyrim Icon in steam library and backup game files, that saves you having to re download everything, then just delete or rename the folder and delete local content from steam, then reinstall from the steam created backup. Nirrtix
Thank you, you guys are awesome! Sorry I'm dumb. :hurr: That is not completely true... it will never be vanilla patchwise. If you never patched be warned the patches are hit and miss. More often miss.
