I'm thinking I have major problems here...

I have no problems generating physics for interior levels. Everything works fine. But when I try to generate physics for exterior levels, all I get are warnings:

E: 19:09:25 - Failed to generate pathfinding data
E: 19:09:25 - Failed to write GFF_ENV_AREA_PATHFINDING_COSTS
E: 19:09:25 - Failed to write GFF_ENV_AREA_PATHFINDING_VISINFO
E: 19:09:25 - Failed to generate optimized physics (are path nodes generated correctly?)

When I try to lightmap the level, I get this error message. I'm not sure if lightmapping is a problem on interior levels, tho. I only tried it on an exterior:

Right before everything went going batcrap crazy, the toolset had some kind of error and closed. It has happened once or twice in the past, but restarting always seemed to fix whatever it was that went wrong. It didn't work this time. I can do everything else. It's only lightmapping and generating pathfinding that's screwed up.

The only thing I could find googling the error is this, but it appears that a restart and redefining the area were all that was necessary to correct it in that particular case, but it doesn't work for me.

So, perhaps I'm being a little dramatic here, but I'm thinking this isn't going to be an easy thing to fix. If that is the case, could someone please tell me step by step what I need to do to back up my mods and then restore them. I have copies of all my gdas and scripts, but I would really rather not have to remake all my areas, placeables, dialogs, blah, blah, blah.

Thanks in advance.

It's fixed. I had to reinstall everything and restore a backup of my database, but all works fine now. I think a recent win10 update may be the cause of it. It's the only thing that's changed since the last time I tried to do anything with an exterior level. So I'll say that's what it was. ;)
