FlashFatman
Well, now I have the blackface bug in SE. Great. I added face mods for NPC women ( Babes of Skyrim ) and Apachii and now I can't get rid of it even after deleting everything including INI files, re-downloading the game and reinstalling mods without apachii. I tried the Vampire fix mod witch seems to work but then I get black face on a few characters like Gerda and Delphine. Is USEEP causing it I wonder? Any help would be greatly appreciated. FlashFatman
I know there is a bug that affects the vampires, but I can't figure out why it affects Delphine and Gerda. I'm sorting through the mods now to see if there is a conflict. That'll take a while.
FlashFatman
I took out Babes of Skyrim and Apachii and replaced it with Womens faces thinking that mod was standalone and did not need a hair mod. Still had the problem, BUT moved that mod to the very bottom and that seems to have fixed the problem at least with this mod. Loot seemed to place it in the wrong position. I also downloaded a mod from Oldrim that fixes the vampire bug, also put that at bottom just above women. I'm not sure if that mod really is doing anything. the vampires are fixed but I'm not sure what actually fixed that problem. I don't want to experiment anymore by removing the Vamp fix because it's finally working so I'm just leaving it in and get to actually play the game for a while instead of constantly re-moding. FlashFatman
Okay, it is a load order problem. I re-installed Babes and Apachii and put Babes at the very bottom, LOOT put in in the middle and Surprise,Surprise no problem at all. I also kept the vampire face bug fix mod and put it directly above Babes. Vamps are OK.
CaptainRC
Where do I find this vampire face bug fix? I have an armor mod that's causing the vampires to go dark, and changing the load order has done nothing.
jasonpwnzj00
Not sure if this will help you guys, but I moved Diversity - An NPC Overhaul.esp way down below almost everything on my load order and it fixed the dark face bug. Obviously different mod setups can cause it to not be Diversity, but that was my issue. Just figured if anyone else is using a few different NPC mods including Diversity, maybe this will help since most posts I saw just said to move general mods around, not a specific mod. Hope it helped someone.

Then possibly, with some applied common sense, you may find, there is lots of ways to fix this. A simple conflict in the record, in regard to FaceGen Assets Block Strings. You know, fixed with xEdit Patch, with out moving anything too. For one. Then with NifSkope you could also repair it, with out touching the load order. When you understand why it happening. For Two. Sort of go to the mountain instead. Just sayin, but dropping this or that, is an acceptable, easy fix, nevertheless. Unless it muck some else up in your load order??? Third. Stop installing && uninstalling mods in a play-thru. Or reap what you sow. Some times prevention is best medicine.
