Clean Save question

Ok folks I'm having an issue with a mod and I believe it's compatibility with one or more mods and I want to try and find the culprit<s>. and was wondering something. How do I make a clean save or clean my save after removing a mod from the game? Is there a program for which would do this? Or is it a matter of loading the game; without the mod<s> make a fresh save not overwriting another save exiting the game and reload from the fresh save?

I don't mind starting a fresh game but I want to find the conflicting mod<s> first if that is possible without having to start all over each time. Any help will be appreciated from me and many others probably.

Thanks in advance.

It depends on the mod. Your thoughts, "make a fresh save not overwriting another save exiting the game and reload from the fresh save" is correct assuming the mod being removed does not have scripts. If so, some will be left in your save game. Once you do your clean save, run the save through http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/5031/? to remove any orphan scripts.

Now the next question for which I have is do I use the SkyrimTools--Script cleaner through NMM/ As it ask me if I want to download it Manually or through NMM. Also do you use it and is it pretty good? Thanks again.
