cumbrianlad
It'd be a pleasure. I'm just glad to have helped somebody on this site after all the help the others have been to me. I'm not the most expert on this site by a long way but I think I've picked up enough to make a useful contribution to your mod. I'm also an avid player and I've played warriors, battlemages and pure mages up to around level 80 on each, so I can comment on each style of player. Good luck with the rest of your mod. technojock
I'm back at it after leaving it rest awhile. I managed to knock a bunch of segments out of aliment while I was cluttering the dungeon and I couldn't figure out how to get them realigned. So I ended up redoing much of it. On the upside, I've learnt a lot, I have a better dungeon but some things still elude me... One thing that's driving me crazy is how do you put a bar on a door so that door cannot be opened until the end of the quest? BTW, I've managed to get the hang of shafts with spiral staircases but I can't put them in rooms only out connecting to hallways but for now that's good enough... Once I have it looking the way I want, I'll go on to watch the rest of the tutorials... Tony
Shurugar
I guess it's either a parent relationship or a linked ref, I'll suggest you set it up like a door which can only be opened per lever. Perhabs there's one set up in the warehouse already for you to copy. I don't have a lot of experience with nordic dungeons, never tried to create one. The Dwemer shafts have a mesh I think its called bottom, which can be placed easily in any room. I would imagine the nordic shafts have the same. cumbrianlad
What you need for your barred door is as follows: Any small nord dungeon doorDoorDeadBolt01 Position the deadbolt on the wall behind the door. I made sure that the door opened towards the deadbolt (or else it looks silly in-game)Make sure your door is not 'open by default'In the deadbolt dialog, linked reference, link it to your door.In the door dialog, linked reference, link it to your deadbolt. I think that's all I did and it works. The message should come up 'This door is barred from the other side' when you try it in game.
technojock
Thanx, I never would have thought to search for deadbolt... I don't know how many times I had to get seriously creative in my searches and still not found what I was looking for only to trip over it while looking for something else. At the rate I'm going I'll have this mod ready to upload in about a year. Tony
cumbrianlad
I like your optimism. At the rate I'm going I'll have my mod out in time for Elder Scrolls 7!
technojock
I talked over the mods I wanted to accomplish with my grandsons and making a dungeon wasn't on the list. Neither was making a follower but I did that fist by following the tutorials. Anyway I'm making progress and maybe just maybe, just maybe I'll get to it. As I work though the frustration factor, it's beginning to be fun...
