huntsman2310
I tried to download and install mod using the Nexus mod manager for the first time. And the website couldn't display the webpage. I haven't tried it with any other mods so I'm not sure if its just a isolated matter. But I have a question. Due to the presence of the Nexus Mod manager, will anyone bother making a mod manager like OBMM, FOMM? Because I don't want to have to rely on a currently extremely unreliable online service when I have to install and download complex mods.
anb2004
well not extremely unreliable i guess, but because it basicly designed it can be online with nexus so user can easily download, update etc for new plugin or existed one which pretty convenient for active mod user with internets, but surely still many things that need to be fix for NMM .. and personally i'm agreed with you but since NMM was launch i'm aware there will no mod manager like OBMM or FOMM for skyrim from timeslip anymore, but still hoping for someone can make mod manager for skyrim even it have less feature than OBMM,FOMM or even NMM. Curently still using data file launcher..yeah i know it sucks, all that i want is that i can sort my mod load order and of course for viewing the load order ID for additem in console... headbomb
Or you know. Use the NMM to specify load order and view order ID, etc...
huntsman2310
I didn't mean to say that the NMM is a bad program, its just that it is completely reliant on a internet connection, while the mod managers in the past, weren't.
elleonblanco
You would think that they could make actually logging into the Nexus an option instead of a requirement. Otherwise I find that I really like the NMM and use it frequently now with FO3, FONV, and Skyrim. I noticed that they added Oblivion in the latest incarnation but I no longer have OB on my pc. But NMM isn't completely reliant on an internet connection. Just disable the "check for updates on start up" and the "check for new mod versions" etc.. and you're offline. documn
Why not use the good ol' Wrye Bash?
huntsman2310
I'm not well versed in Wrye Bash are and are more comfortable using the mod managers, how about that?
documn
Hmmm, maybe this? http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1334Haven't tried it myself, but it looks like it has some standard mod manager features.
AbleGnome
Gotta chime in and say I love the NMM. Got four games on it. It was coming up slowly at first, but after the update it is quick and very easy.
