EricDMC
A in-game note book that you can type and save text. I always have more than I can remember going on in the game.
Korodic
With a pen and a quill would be nice. For realism. Equip a quill in your inventory and a script runs that would let you. There was a similar mod in oblivion, and I'd love to see it in skyrim too.
EricDMC
Yeah It would be really useful, I have no Idea where to start though! Im new to modding.
xleileix
This would be really useful. Definitely has my endorsement.
Forteverum
They finally developed this in Oblivion after years. Funny because there were scribe shop mods and everything and only finally did they add actual notebooks. It worked like a charm, though. I imagine in Skyrim this would be even more important since you discover alchemy by experimentation, and since potion options only light up if you actually have the ingredients, it would be handy to have the book as a shopping list. xleileix
Yup, plus wouldn't it be so nice if you could write notes in your Journal? You have a journal. In the game. And you can't write in it. I keep a txt file open to track everything important at the moment, but then I get to play the alt-tab-in-and-out-of-Skyrim game (as a sidenote before anyone suggests playing in windowed mode, I've tried and I still have trouble. Maybe I'm stupid about this but the mouse gets "trapped" in the game window so I have to use TAB anyway. Anyone else have this problem?). Maybe I should buy a real quill with some ink and parchment to keep by my computer.
ScarabMonkey
It would require some serious scripting with SKSE or Script Dragon. Here's a link to the Oblivion one for anyone interested (which uses OBSE):http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15294
NordicMist
^ And probably a port of Pluggy (source code available: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23979) to SKSE.
JMMcNemo
I would particularly like (although it seems pretty "out there" as far as expectability) to be able to take player-made journals from one save game and open them in another... In practical terms, being able to jot down notes about where a particularly cool weapon is, or a warning about a nasty ambush in Dungeon X; in lore terms it can be explained as a previous adventurer's journal(s) that in whatever way passed into your hands. autumnsky38
This is a great idea. I love the idea of having our own journal, but also of being able to write things ourselves. Hope someone takes us all up on it or who knows---maybe when the CK comes out I'll even give it a try myself. lol :) Tracy
