Deleted1811414User
Has anyone attempted a completely defensive character? I mean using restoration and illusion skills only. Conjuration would still count as offensive.
chanchan05
Just wondering, how are you going to kill anyone? And you'll level cap immediately I think, since once those two hit a hundred and you don't use other skills, you wont level up anymore AFAIK. JanusForbeare
I roleplayed a completely defensive character, but he wouldn't leave the house.
justwannaddl
I've consonsidered making a defensive character but only as a support type character. He never kills anyone but I cannot vouche for his companions. On the plus side, restoration levels very quickly since you are constantly healing others. CalibanX
I did a no violence sneak character for a while where occasionally I would use a Staff of Summon Flame Atronachs. But, for 95% of all encounters I was able to sneak/Calm/run away. Obviously, there are a variety of quests that you can't complete (that require you to kill a boss etc) but there's so much content in the game and you can still pickpocket and open chests and improve your skills. With some perks in Speech, this was the richest character I've yet made and was a lot of fun to play. I also avoided the Main Quest line so I didn't have to contend with Dragons which was also a nice change of pace. I highly recommend this kind of character build to anyone. It makes you look at Skyrim in a whole new light.
