Jones813
Billiard balls should roll, that's normal, but it's not normal for steel and copper ingots to start rolling around like they're tubes. Are there any mods that fix issues like this?
Ethreon
If the ingots didn't do that you wouldn't be able to pick them up at all, anywhere.
Jones813
If the ingots didn't do that you wouldn't be able to pick them up at all, anywhere. That makes zero sense. Boxes of ammo don't roll around like balls. Most items that wouldn't realistically roll in fact do not roll but some of the ingots do. Copper is the worst for it, steel does it a bit, lead doesn't seem to roll much. There's just something with the modeling/meshes I think, which is odd since I would think they would have just used the same meshes with different skins since all the ingots look the same except for their color. It doesn't make sense if you don't understand the game mechanics. For ingots (and other pickable objects) to give you the ability to directly pick them up they need to be movable. No discussion, no "what if". Ammo boxes are nowhere the same as a movable object, so I have no idea why you'd compare them.

When I say ammo boxes I mean boxes of ammo you produce with the ammunition plant or find lying around in places. Those travel along the conveyors and don't roll around everywhere. Rulers don't roll around. Picture frames don't roll around. Virtually nothing rolls around the conveyor belts except for actual balls which should roll because they're spheres and the metal bars which should not roll around because they have 3 flat sides (5 if you count the ends). Ethreon
Probably because they are square and their collision is better made. I'd have to look at them to be certain.
damanding
The collision for the ingots is probably a bit more cylindrical in nature which makes them roll easier.

I'm 99% sure that's the problem but I have no idea how to fix something like that.
xBloodTigerx
i have a deployable shield mod that is fixed. you don't need the item to be 'rolling' to interact/pick them up
