He should demand that they provide free pest control services from the provider of his choice for a year. If my cable company brought a bug problem into my house, I'd be furious. I'd demand the aforementioned action and failing that, I'd contact a lawyer. Bugs, roaches especially, are a serious health problem and one they should be responsible for fixing.

 

As for the delays in getting replacement equipment, that's absolute crap as well. Not only does it further add to any possible legal actions as mentioned above. But it's just pathetic customer service all around. Here, TimeWarner Cable gives you the option of either having a tech replace your equipment, mailing it in or exchanging it 'in store' should they have the equipment on hand. I've replaced equipment in store a number of times, either upgrading, replacing faulty equipment or replacing the wrong equipment(as in I ordered an HD DVR system but the tech was given only SD systems).
