endomatic
I'm trying to use OBMM as a mod manager because it's rather user friendly. I've imported some archives into OMODs for ease of loading/ordering etc. But now Oblivion won't even launch. I tried removing mods 1 at a time and still received errors. I then tried simply having them all off, even the UOP/USIP patchs. Still CTD after start up.Then I removed OBSE and still get it. The only variable now is OBMM itself, otherwise everything is just like a fresh install. What could have happened? Mods used: Most from here. Excluding a lot of the stuff under the optional section, and the 3 "realism" mods at the bottom of the order. So basically, the lighting one, the Unofficial patches, the woman body shape replacer and some custom armors not listed there. The Darnified UI, Beautiful people 2.7 and Alternate Start (arrive by ship). Did I corrupt my install? Would an install and a re-plugging of these work well? This is so frustrating. :wallbash:
wizardmirth
It might have to do with the load order of your mods. You'll need to read each of their install notes carefully for anything regarding this. In my experience, failure to launch comes from having a patch esp installed that is dependant on another esp that for some reason is not loaded. For example, CM Partners has some patch and when I uninstalled CM Partners I forgot to remove the patch file and because of this Oblivion would not load. If you're still having the problem after all mods are removed then I would try reinstalling OBMM before doing anything else.
