devinpatterson
A laser sight from a pistol with only the beam aperture visible or the rear optic from a gauss rifle. Just a random thought, would you like the laser sight from the 10mm pistol to emit from the eye optics or an even brighter one, like this laser beam I rigged as a wearable item (no rhyme or reason to it, just a test), pic; http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/FONV%20Mods-works%20in%20progress/wearableLaserbeam_zpsg9ml265w.jpg
BurryTheMad
A bright beam sounds neat. Only concern I'd have is length.
devinpatterson
A bright beam sounds neat. Only concern I'd have is length. both the vanilla laser sight and my home made laser beam can be adjusted in length. The laser sight (stock/vanilla asset) has the advantage of fading, which in my opinion for this kind of application looks more realistic. I'm pretty sure I could make it brighter and adjust the size. What length were you thinking?
BurryTheMad
About as long as the skull itself.
BurryTheMad
Hows the servo skull coming along? Sorry about the double post by the way.
devinpatterson
About as long as the skull itself. Hmmmm OK I'll give it a shot, maybe make one with a longer beam as well (I think artistically it will work better, but I could be wrong about that). Hows the servo skull coming along? Alas I haven't had a chance to work on it (just did a few little mods....unfortunately my modding time has been in pretty short supply), but I'll try and do some this weekend. Kinda tangentially related, but I thought making a variant (maybe even one with a metallic skull) could provide a bit of a Rust Devil incursion into the Mojave. I totally understand your focus is on 40k (which is an amazing source of lore and wonderment), but I'm curious if other members might like some rust devil goodness among the dunes of the southwest. Sorry about the double post by the way. No worries brother, not your fault, I just need to clean out my mailbox.
BurryTheMad
Cool. I think the Rust Devil thing is a great idea. As much as I want to see more robots reskinned to a more 40K feel I think adding some Rust Devils would help spice up the raider variety.
BurryTheMad
So. Any progress? Also anyone want to learn more about Warhammer 40,000?
devinpatterson
So. Any progress? alas no  it's pretty hit or miss as far as my free time...unfortunately. But I'll try to work on it a bit soon. The single/first variant is sound (the video you saw was it going through it's animations), so I can package that in an esp and at least you'll have something right now. Then I can continue to work on variants and other goodies. Also anyone want to learn more about Warhammer 40,000? For sure, I'v always loved the 40k universe.
