arnoldvsthegooch
I recently downloaded the BAB body and when I Uninstall my Female Eyecandy Body Replacer Nude OMOD my characters have black face. I realized I replaced my Vanilla textures with Exnem textures and didn't back up the originals. Does anyone know specifically which files I need to replace in order to avoid the black face? I really want to try the BAB armor. In the EXNEM Body directions it says to backup the entire texture/characters folder. Also, when I replace these textures with the vanilla ones, will I have to reinstall Improved Facial Textures (IFT) and Natural Faces? Any other MODS that would affect facial textures? Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks in advance for the help. Ok, your using OBMM, which by default uses a BSA to achieve Archive Invalidation. This method works with all of the files located in the Oblivion BSA,s except facial textures. Oblivions Facial textures are in BSAs so you didn't overwrite them. In order for OBMM to successfully replace facial textures they must be assimilated into it's BSA. What is happening is that since your replacements were not integrated OBMM doesn't know there gone. So it's archive invalidation is still pointing Oblivion away from it's own textures. Follow these steps to correct the problem. 1 - Open OBMM and click on utilities. 2 - A menu will appear and you want to select Archive Invalidation.3 - Once that menu pops up you will notice modes at the top, if you have not changed this it will be on the default setting and that is "BSA Redirection"IF THE SETTING IS BSA REDIRECTION PROCEED IF NOT SKIP TO - STEP 54 - Making sure your setting is BSA redirection, go to the bottom and click "Update Now". That should fix the problem and in the future after you install new facial textures open this dialog again and check the box for "pack facial textures in Redirection target BSA" and click update. Now when you uninstall them OBMM will know it and should automatically revert back to vanilla. If it does not then, simply updating should make things right again.5 - If for some strange reason you changed your setting from the recommended BSA redirection then you will have to be careful now as you could corrupt your entire OBMM installation and will have to start from scratch. To avoid reinstalling here is what you do. First leave this window and uninstall all of your mods and especially any that OBMM did not install. Then return to the Archive Invalidation dialog and select update now. NOW you can change the mode by just clicking the Reset To Defaults button. Now go back to step 4 and everything should be right. No guarantee's you won't have to re-install OBMM but it is worth a shot. Worse case scenario you have to re-install OBMM and that is not so bad and might be preferred as I have had bad luck with it after changing the mode and I would recommend that you DO re-install but I figured I would give you an alternative as well.Good Luck
