theLeeHarvey
I'm gonna rant here so, prepare yourselves. What the heck is going on with the Image Share section? It seems like all I'm seeing now are different versions of the same pictures. Its either naked/half dressed girls (which normally I quite enjoy) or sunsets/sunrises and scenic views. I never thought I'd be saying this. I've seen some original pictures and I really enjoy those, but the majority of screenshots people are posting all look like they came off of an assembly line. It reminds me of George Orwell's '1984', were he talks about all the books being made by a machine and that they are basically all the same stories with different names and a standardized set of plot lines and hooks. Have we lost our sense of originality? Can't we find something better to take a picture of than a scantily clad winged-tart standing in front of a panoramic sunset? How many times are we gonna have to look at a picture and say, "hmmm.... Thats good but I've seen it before." Now please don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that people love this game's fictional world well enough to want to share their experiences in it with the community. I wouln't want to belittle anybody for the things they like, that's not my place. It's a great thing we have here with all of this file sharing goodness. I love it too. I just feel like we might be wasting it. I'd like to hear all of your opinions on the subject, like-minded or not, everyone's viewpoint is valid. I have to ask though, please don't post a reply if you just want to try and stand on my head for having said something you might disagree with. That being said, let 'er rip people.
Vagrant0
As there is little regulation of images uploaded, and most of the pictures are of barely clothed female characters, it's to be expected that the norm for the feature follows suit. There are certainly other pictures, but they aren't anywhere near as common, and don't get anywhere near as much notice. You should also considder that in most cases, all that's needed for these pictures is a body mod, a pose mod, a good videocard, basic understanding of camera controls, and the ability to time shots right. Given that, and the primarily 12-18 year old male membership of these forums, you really can't expect much else. Not that I'm trying to diminish the skill needed for some pictures, just that most aren't much to talk about. But without some sort of filtering, or approval (not really possible) to sort out those which are just screenshots of half-nude characters from everything else, that's about all you're likely to get. theLeeHarvey
It sounds like you and I see Eye to Eye.
GenghisKhanIT
Absolutely agree on that matter. Check this quite old post of mine. I have to say that the new feature "Top Images", together with the Adult filter, helps a bit finding non-sex-related pics.
ComicKaze
It's sometimes hard to capture that one dynamic image unless you hit quicksave right away. Is there any way to freeze the action and move the camera around? I don't know what to do besides scrolling between first and 3rd person views. Eiden
all the books are basically all the same stories with different names and a standardized set of plot lines and hooks. Okay, I couldn't resist..........We already have this, one of the most popular mundane, formula bound writers being Dean Koontz. Can we say booooooorrrrrriiiiiinnnnnnnnggggg. Then again........he would appeal to the same demographic of this board as the suggestive screenshots do.
shalheira
Yeah, I'm with you, theLeeHarvey. Recently, I've uploaded some images for sharing with everyone cause I had the feeling of the "adult images" had more views, comments and ratings than others. As you can see, this image of mine Awaiting the unavoidable has over 350 views, and this another image (of mine, too) Roof walker has only 100 views... It is normal? Well, I must confess that I really like some images uploaded with nudity and tagged as "adult content" See you!
Stewb
i agree with vagrant, but one little thing.... 12-18 year olds? the game is rated 15+ here, so unless the age rating is lower elsewhere, shouldn't bethseda be cracking down on the lil kiddies below the age rating who are playing? or at least having an age restriction kinda thing on the oblivion forums area of this forums? seems just a little weird to me that you have to be 15+ to play yet no-one cares about the legal stuff if your picturing nude women, albeit they are pixellated, but that is technically true of any picture. Oh yeah, to the admins, im not saying you have to, im just wondering aloud here ;) just incase someone misses the point :)

Dude you hit the nail right on the head, I really get kind of disgusted with it myself, I try to look for good mods, and what the search comes with is is some jerks level 1 save game of " A REALLLY SEXXXXXXYYY IMPERIAL GIRL". At first i think to myself, "man , what a bunch of lonely pale faced virgins", but what you said made me see it in a different perspective, i'm 24, while that isn't old it isn't 14 either. So on the one hand it is normal, and even healthy really, for a 14 year old guy to want to see as much ass as possible, even if it is a game. On the other hand, i don't that qualifies as a mod. theLeeHarvey
I must say, there is nothing inherently wrong with wanting to see beautiful women in the nude, I'd go so far as to say it's healthy even. After all, there is little more pleasing to the eye than the female form. My main gripe is that it's just nudity for nudity's sake. When it becomes a mass of naked images with little or no redeeming value there is a word for it. Pornography. It'd be different if that was the intent of the Nexus, but it just simply isn't so far as I can tell. I agree with you guys, the image share section should be used to display mods and unique images. Things that make you go, "Whoa, thats really cool". Things that make you want to fire up the game and play till your fingers bleed all over the keyboard.
