Your comment was, "I don't see an emotional difference between understanding and acceptance for one leads to the other." IME the two are altogether different, and I cited the issue of disowned gay kids as just one example of it. Emotionally understanding why a mugger wants my wallet does not make me emotionally accept being mugged.

You're taking what i said pertaining to the video of Jim's father out of context. You might ask yourself what is your motivation for doing so.

I'm referring to the family dynamics of Jim and his father muggers and gay children have nothing to do with Jim and his father i'm finished with this foolishness..

I'm through too but for the record the "foolishness" was generated by your claim:

"Seems as if his father found a way to understand him after his death though. "True to his own destiny,True to his own spirit"is an acceptance of Jim and perhaps an attempt to forgive himself, too bad it came too late."

The literal translation of the Greek phrase is, "According to his own spirit". It's a nice way of claiming Jim was destined to die at age 27 with no family support whatsoever.

It's clear to me from this video and written works that Jim Morrison was emotionally and permanently disowned by his father simply for choosing his own career path. I can also read a history book and understand George Morrison's own career, and personal role in escalation of the Vietnam War etc. It was practically impossible for him to do anything other than distance himself in every way and as far as possible from his son and his music.

"I'm through too but for the record"hehe that's funny.

Ah well, that explains it, i generated your foolishness by my claim, cool,i've seldom experienced that kind of control before.

"According to his own spirit"is in no way a suggestion that anyone is destined to die at any age without family support, that is idiotic in the extreme. You appear to have an emotional need to vilify the father. What did your daddy do to you?Get over it.
