Well, to be fair, the first is a popular "Club" DJ, who remixes old songs with extra drums and stuff. In this case the iconic Joan Jett classic.

The third is by an Australian Singer/Entertainer, who is one of Australia's favourite sons, with a very unique voice. One of the very few singers who could perform live without any backing or augmentation whatsoever, and be just as good as when he was in a studio.

When Paul McCartney heard John Farnham's version, he apparently got very emotional and told Mr Farnham, that this was how he had intended the song to be done, as a ballad to lost love, rather than as the lighter toned "Happy" song it was released by the Beatles as.

The Traveling Wilbury's were a bunch of old farts from Rock/Pop legend, (Tom Petty, George Harrison, etc.) who got together to create some "folk music". They all collaborated in the writing and performing. They rose to eminence just after Roy Orbison sadly past away. (hence his unique vocals in the audio, but only a portrait of him in the video)

Yes of course i know the old farts for i'm an old fart too.Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty were one hell of a group.I think they only made two albums...

Aye it was a beautiful time for music IMHO. <sigh> Us olde farts need to stick together :) (for perspective, I drove my own car, a "panel van" or "shaggin' wagon" to the original screening of Start Wars at my local Drive-In. )

Here's one of my favourites ...

Another brilliant collaboration. If you aren't rocking in your computer chair, with volume cranked up, bopping your head up and down when listening to this, then you must be dead!

Yes it was an amazing time,i miss the old days and my old friends.I took a 65 International bread truck and turned it into a party van complete with black lights and florescent paint,i spent more time in it than i did at home.

Rocky Burnett i never heard before but the collaboration between Run-Dmc and Aerosmith was indeed inspired.

Let's change the mood ... Rock ballad time -

I still prefer Brian May's version.

Yep love Meatloaf but you got me again with Brian May i don't believe i've ever heard him before.I am familiar with Queen's version.

Possibly NSFW.

https://youtu.be/OFHUhbOyT94

Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds
Oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'til their judgment day comes
Yeah!

Ozzy at 63 years old.
