Shivering Isles Help

yea.. i got a problem. I got the expansion set for Oblivion, and i installed it but nothing happened in-game. I waited the 24 hours, actually i waited like.. 70 hours just to get the quest, but nothing happened. So i went on my dad's account and when i waited 24 hours in his file, the quest popped up. Eager to know it actually worked, i rushed back into my file (i use vista), i waited 24 hours, followed the same steps, and nothing happened. any help would be appreciated.

 

both files hav the same character w/ the same stuff.

What Patches have you installed in what order.

 

Any other mods like the unofficial patch and what order?

 

I don't run vista so there may be some special instructions by others to follow.

well, i have patch 1.2 for both versions, i dont have the unofficial patch and i do have mods like low-poly grass, lost paladin of the divine, ren's beauty pack, operation optimization, streamline, OBSE, etc.

I had the same thing happen. I waited, played the game, etc. Months pass in game and nothing happened.

 

I say that the island with the door from Bravil, so I swam out to see. I got the quest when I was a few steps from the "Strange Door".

 

What I'm saying is, If you can see the island from Bravil, try going to it.

Damn it my life sucks, I thought I saw the island, but it wasn't it. I waited in the Niben bay for 2 days, nothing happened, no island. I guess I'll just ignore the Shivering Isles and maybe just one day ill randomly see it or get the message. Or someone can find out the problem for me.
