worm82075
Rapture by Hurt Good tune, the video reminds me of a cross between Tool and Pink Floyd's The Wall. All Fall Down by One Republic Yeah, I love classical instruments in modern music. @Worm82: So you liked FFDP huh? I've seen them live at Biloxi Mississippi Coast Coliseum in 07. One of the best shows I've seen although I've only been to 3 live shows though, I'm looking forward to seeing Kamelot this october 24 in portland. I'd go all the way to Europe to see them if I had to but no it's like BAM they'll right in my own backyard. I love intruducing people to new music and spreading bands names around. Wow, got lucky on that one huh? Yeah, I like them. Back in the day I used to vent my anger and frustrations with Pantera, unfortunately Dime Bag is dead and Philup Alsemo could never perform their songs live(he is the Stephen Tyler of metal. :P ) but their first two albums got me through some trying teenage years none the less. humanbean234
Todd Rundgren may be one of the top ten ugliest men in rock-n-roll, but he's also in the top ten most talented (in my book). This one is both poignant and haunting. From his album A Capella Honest Work I'm not afraid to bend my backI'm not afraid of dirtBut how I fear the things I doFor lack of honest workMy family is lost to meThey could not bear the hurtTo see the state their boy is inFor lack of honest work I hold no blame for anyone'Twas I who did arrangeTo pay my union dues so I'dNot have to learn or changeAnd when I was replaced, 'twas IWho started down the hillAnd drank away my savings 'tilI couldn't stop myself The prophets of a brave new worldCaptains of industryHave visions grand and great designsBut none have room for meThey see a world where everyoneIs rich and smart and youngBut if I live to see such thingsToo late for me they come I know I'm not the only oneTo fall beneath the wheelSuch company can not assuageThe loneliness I feelSo many are resigned to beSociety's debrisBut I will be remembered forThe life life took from me For I'm not afraid to bend my backI'm not afraid of dirtBut how I fear the things I doFor lack of honest work Live performance of it can be viewed here:
dezdimona
Pressed rat and warthog have closed down their shop. They didnt want to; twas all they had got.Selling atonal apples, amplified heat,And pressed rats collection of dog legs and feet. Sadly they left, telling no one goodbye.Pressed rat wore red jodhpurs, warthog a striped tie.Between them, they carried a three-legged sack,Went straight round the corner and never came back. Pressed rat and warthog have closed down their shop. The bad captain madman had told them to stopSelling atonal apples, amplified heat,And pressed rats collection of dog legs and feet. The bad captain madman had ordered their fate.He laughed and stomped off with a nautical gate. The gate turned into a deroga treeAnd his pegleg got woodworm and broke into three. Pressed rat and warthog have closed down their shop. They didnt want to; twas all they had got.Selling atonal apples, amplified heat,And pressed rats collection of dog legs and feet. worm82075
[snip] That was indeed a soulful a cappella performance. It reminds me a very old tune popularized in the move Brother Where Art Thou? Man Of Constant Sorrow - Make no mistake, this song was written in the early 20's and the author is an unknown. It has been performed by many a man from Jerry Garcia to Bob Dylan to Rod Stewart but IMHO no one does it better than Ralph Stanley although I do enjoy the Stanley Brothers version as well (still Ralph singing it but it's fully accompanied)- Fair warning though, this is bluegrass. I am a man of constant sorrowI've seen trouble all my daysI bid farewell to old KentuckyThe place where I was borned and raised For six long years I've been in troubleNo pleasure here on earth I findFor in this world I'm bound to rambleI have no friends to help me now It's fare thee well my own true loverI never expect to see you againFor I'm bound to ride that northern railroadPerhaps I'll die upon this train You can bury me in some deep valleyFor many years where I may layThen you may learn to love anotherWhile I am sleeping in my grave Maybe your friends think I'm just a strangerMy face you'll never will see no moreBut there is one promise that is givenI'll meet you on God's golden shore [snip] Your really bringing out the classics Dez, and I love it. Deleted269910User
Mirror mirror, How far will I go? Despite the foundation, I am falling.Sweet reflection, Will you save a place for me? Where am I heading? Could you grant me a haven? For what I am punished, Could I ever repent? Mother Nature, I’m wide open, Waiting for you to move me. Don’t keep it from me!This is the free fall! This is the free fall! I never seem to understand. The time, the place, and who I am.Define a way to stay alive, It’s like I’m living a lie. Father time, every time I stop and feel, You’re there to tell me I’m already late. Don’t keep it from me!This is the free fall! I never seem to understand. The time, the place, and who I am. It’s like I’m living a lie. I never seem to understand. The time, the place, and who I am.Define a way to stay alive,It’s like I’m living a lie. I never seem to understand. The time, the place, and who I am.Define a way to stay alive,It’s like I’m living a lie. In Flames - Free Fall, just a personal favourite. :P

dezdimona
"ä¸å¯æ²å" Verse 1: From the motions & potions & comotions I've been running from. None of this reality & chastity will stop me from what I've done. Chorus: Can you feel the anger, can you feel the rage. All through life I'm blindfolded, trapped inside a cage. I'm running out of patience, running out of prayer. The violence that you tought me, I never felt was fair. Verse 2: All the silence & violence & the crying has seemed to change. All the youthless & ruthless & the unions finally seem deranged. Chorus: Can you really blame me, I'm afraid of all this change. Do you think you own me, you're driving me insane. I am running out of breath now, please don't let me die. Even though you loath me, I'm still gonna see you cry. Verse 3: Let go all this pressure & tension & suspension which your holding me. What I embarked on has darkened & shadowed me to death. Chorus: You cannot really help me, you've done everything you can. I'm stretched upon the cross now, the poo has hit the fan. Don't you even love me, I've been faithful everyday. Betrayal now your motive, but soon you'll have to pay. Why don't you even listen, why don't you even care. The murder which you've commited, will put you in the chair. SCREAM!!!!! Song by Cream
