Gruff
@ KhorakBeautiful idea! From now on I'll never start a game without a backstory like that ...
Moredhel
Playing a Drizzt Do'Urden atm, trying to stick to the lore as much as possible (aka: good guy, sneaky warrior, dualwield, archer (he takes Taulmaril in a certain book), summon familiar), I even have purple eyes and my (crafted) nightingale recolored to match Drizzt's outfit! Named my swords Icingdeath and Twinkle (the latter does magic dmg), but I usually wield a fire dmg sword in offhand to complement my Icingdeath, its name is Firebrand. Heh, my first char was based on Drizzt as well. Skyrim is well suited to the Drizzt story, as it's pretty much Icewind Dale, except with nine towns instead of ten. Too bad there's no Guenhwyfar-type figurines in vanilla. On a related note, doesn't Drizzt have the worst-named swords in the world? They always make me think of a ten-year-old's birthday party. Icingdeath is quite cool imho :)
pastafrola
I RP a little when it comes to decisions, "what would he do" instead of "what would I do". I find it hard to believe that you have to ability to actually be the leader of everything. I think it should be, once you complete so many quests in any given line, you are no longer offered the ability to advance past a certain stage in the others. You just can't be both the leader of the Democratic party and the Republican party, I think someones bound to find out and you'd lose a contribution or two. I totally agree. You can't be an astronaut, police officer, firefighter, rockstar and president at the same time. ;D
huntsman2310
I play a mix of both. My guy is for the most part serious, but has some very....odd habits. Involving Buckets, slaughtering Chickens, and tendencys to steal everyone's mead.
Rimland
the Adoring Fan, fleeing from Cyrodiil, caught at border, By Azura, by Azura, by Azura... the Dovakhin used to be the Adoring Fan but then he took an arrow in the face and since that time, by Azura, the Adoring Fan was forever transformed by a Daedric Prince, shooting a poisoned-tipped arrow, soaked in dragon blood, right in the face, by Azura, and it backfired, rather than killing the Adoring Fan, it turned him into... "Believe, believe, the Dragonborn comes... For the darkness has passed, and the legend yet grows, You’ll know, You’ll know the Dragonborn’s come" Dovahkin ! Huh, ho-ah, huh ! oooo ! Dovahkin ! R3Q
I play it seriously because I enjoy the game. I don't roleplay though, but I like to make the game as hard for me as possible. I refuse to choose a faction because Stormcloaks are racists and Imperials are wimps. I'm very content with being a thief/assassin/mage.
