my characters eyes are completely black and i can't fix it

i've recently created an Argonian race, which i redid the eyes and hair and facial features to make a dragon :P

anywhos, after i created my dragon and was really happy with it, i continued to download some more random mods (like clothing, eyes, and hair), and that's when my problem started

my imperial's eyes now, even the argonian's, is solid black (this problem even effects the NPC's)

i still can go back to the main character menu and change which type of eyes i want for my character, but even if i change my eyes from blue to brown, they remain black

i was wondering if there was a mod out there somewhere that i can download and install that would change all the eyes in the game, like a conversion or overhaul mod (maybe it would fix the problem :sweat: )

i'm also pretty handy with the TES Construction Set, so maybe there's something i could do on that

Using more than one mod for eyes and hairstyles causes this glitch and other similar problems: black eyes, no eyes, eyes pointing in wrong/separate directions, "googly eyes," twitching eyes, bald head, multi-tone skin, and completely missing head.

i've been trying to find the source of the conflict by going in the data files and looking at all the folders and add-ons, but i still haven't figured out the problem

i went into my character selection menu and i was able to use the Order, Dark Seducer, and Golden Saint eyes, but the other eyes (Green, Blue, Brown) were still black, i also saw some other eyes in there like Lime, Crimson, Red, and some eyes that glow, but they're also black

i think those eyes are causing the problem but i can't find which mod they're from, the Advanced Search isn't helping much either....

That's your conflict. You can only use one set of eyes/hair styles unless you combine them into one mod and make a new .esp for the data folder.

Can someone tell me what it is about the search function that makes it so hard to use?

This same question is asked at least twice a week. Search "black eyes"

i deleted every eye mod i could find in the data files, but for some reason i still have some kinda mod floating around that i can't find...it's the mod that when i use the character menu, shows the Lime, Crimson, Red, etc. eyes.....like i said..i can't find whatever mod it is that's still causing this problem...i've been trying to find the name of the specific mod that has those problems...i found one mod that might be it....something like Vanilla Eyes or something....but when i looked in the data files i couldn't find it...so i'm really lost....

 

 

 

*ahem* about the search bar thing....i did type in "black eyes"...that's the first thing i did this morning when i started working on fixing the problem....what i was referring to was the search bar that you use to find mods on the tesnexus site...not the forum site....
