jmlport98
Now, most of us would agree that the guilds in Skyrim were terrible compared to Oblivion, Beth relied on Radiant too much. Time to fix this! Whenever the CK comes out, I want to re-do the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild quests. I am only 13, have had a bit of experience with the Geck, a beginner with programming in C++, and I can learn how things work pretty quickly. I want at least 3 other people to work on this with me. ____________________________________________________________________ Primary Goals: -Make the Thieves Guild questline better and not dull. -Make the Dark Brotherhood questline better and not dull. Secondary Goals: -Create a Mage's Guild(a brand new mage's guild, not the college of winterhold) -Improve the College of Winterhold's questline. ____________________________________________________________________ Now, I realize this could be a huge project, and there is no way I could do it alone. I am asking the most experienced modders out here to do this project, hopefully I can be a part of it too. Send me a PM for Skype.
KHShadowrunner
While I disagree, personally I think the Theives guild pretty much nailed a decent story that ended just a little too quick and left a few holes in my mind - it certainly didn't rely on Radiant quests at all, except the very very last mission which only grants you new armor. And that's not even really a quest, just recognition of what you've done. With that in mind, I really was sad that each of the fences you wind up with in the other cities got the "one and done" treatment. I'm personally learning how to mod, and my first mod will be an addition to the Theives guild quest to make the choice of selecting them feel more like a game in its self, with the next part being to spread physical influence to each of the cities via the fences as "leaders" in each city. If I get good enough, maybe I'll be able to create new "dens" in each city that use the same sort of sly hidden enterance (so as not to destroy too much of what already exists) which can be a quest line to clean up -etc. Then towards the end of each city introduce a big heist or two. We're theives after all! Maybe after you have 2 down solid a quest to introduce a mage who will teleport you to and fro for "Theives style fast traveling". I wonder if there's any possible way to tie a container to multiple areas. I'd nix the travel idea and make the mage be a sort of transport for goods held at the guild so you had a personal location in multiple cities. That sounds like a plan. Then maybe after all the cities are good, we throw an elder scroll in. There's always an elder scroll to steal for someone. Always. EDIT: and in my haste to try and find inspiration for this, I've bumped a year-old thread. Fantastic. I feel like the brightest star...
