Move Lydia to my location

Lydia has been gone for days now... I lost her in some dungeon and I can't find her anywhere. I've looked in my player houses and at Dragonreach, and she's not there. I guess she's snagged on some scenery somewhere. Is there a console command I can use to move her to my location?

If you lost her and told her to wait - She'll get bored eventually and return home after three days

If she was following you - she should be with you the next time you fasttravel

If you told her to go home/part ways - wait a few days, NPC's dont travel as fast as you

If all else fails:

Use the console command - recycleactor [baseID] - It resets a lydia at her designated hire point, but you will lose all the gear you've given to her

Yesterday, I was just curious trying on clothes and armor found in the qasmoke room, forget she was with me before typing "coc qasmoke". I didn't like the lighting in that room so "coc whiterun". It was dark so I waited there for 8 hours, then started trying on some of the stuff I looted, doing the catwalk on the bridge there. Low and behold, Lydia finally found me; rather caught me.

So she may be trying to catch back up to you still.

Lydia also kind of shocked me the other day after she killed a bunny I was trying to rescue. The bunny was in a river, swimming upstream but not going anywhere, looking like a hamster on a hamster wheel. I shouted to free it, which worked, but then Lydia.... well, I remember her saying something like, "that'll teach you!" to the little bunny.

Lidiya has a bad habbit of day dreaming constanly, espeacialy after going through doors and fast traveling. If she gets stuck when she is day dreaming and you are moving fast, you will lose her often, or she will not show up until later. Many times if I go through a door and move in a enemy congested area, and barely clear the area out alive, she will pop up. Best to just wait until her attention focuses on you before you move. Many times I have stop what I am doing and stare at her until her head turns towards my direction before I move somewhere else, sure she still gets lost in her own little world, but not as often, if you get her attenion first before moving. There are times when she day dreams, and you move, to say avoid any hostiles, and you get ahead of her, she will run after you stiring up those hostiles you just avoided, and she will end up engageing them on her own, so then you will mostly have to back track to save her from dieing. Who is the Housecarl Here? Me or Her. lol

So best to get her focused on you first before moving, She will get stuck, or even end up dead from engageing to many hostiles at once. She also is prone to walk in every single trap there is.
