Ashengrace
So I've finally figured out how to create stand-alone armors for skyrim with the limited tools available. Now where I am stuck is that skyrim armors are one piece, incorporating both cuirass and grieves. Where as oblivion had them as separate pieces. This would probably mean that in order for a port to be done right, the armors from oblivion would have to be completely remade into single a piece since the engine lacks the proper slot to make them individual. But what about a work-around, maybe using a jewelery slot or something like that? I just want to get some thoughts and idea's before I go wasting a ton of time doing trial and error. I'm hoping maybe someone has already tried all this and has some insight. So what do you guys think?
exnecross
I only do 3d modeling for fun every now and then, but wouldn't merging platebodies and legs together to form one piece of armor be pretty simple? I'd imagine the only challenging part would be making the outdated meshes on par with Skyrim's standards.
Ashengrace
Yeah, i would think it would be rather simple. I know nothing of modeling though, so to me its beyond my skill level. Looking in NifScope the problem im seeing would be merging the NiNodes along with everything else.
