[LE] Black textures ingame...again...

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

So, months ago, I had this same problem on my first mod, but you helped me and I solved it. I learned from it and was able to solve the same problem in no time in another mod I made.

But this time...I dont know what in oblivion is happening.

So, the situation:
I am working on the update for the first mod I made, (which contains animated textures, but the problem its not with the anim, dont worry), I am remaking 3D and textures. this update its going to contain 4 diffent shapes based on a famous weapon from another game. I made the new first shape, went to nifskope, tested ingame. NOTHING WRONG AND WENT SMOOTH.

Then I made 2 shape, in nifskope it looks perfect, then I went ingame and this happened:

Basically, what you see here is:

The textures appears perfectly on 1st Person view, but in 3rd person view it appears as black. (the strange is that I used the same nif file to make the 1stpersonview data and the weapon data)

Also in the inventory view it also appears perfeclty.

So, the problem seems to be in the main Blade Texture, which is a Glow Shader. (Well, I think it is in the blade at least, because all the anim effects appear perfectly ingame, but the blade appears black)

Oh, one strange thing also is that I used the same NIF file of the 1 shape I made(the one that went smooth ingame) I just replaced 3D shapes inside it and textures. Wasn't supposed to go smooth ingame also? weird

I tried checking Vertex Colors, num uv sets (4097), BS LIghting Shader Flags. tried a lot of things, but I couldn't solve it.

So I came here looking for your help again :/

Thanks

Hey everybody, just came here to tell you that I solved the problem.
It looks like it was a NiAlphaProperty Flag.
The DST flags on NiAlphaProperty seems to not work on Skyrim Nifs(I guess at least )
But thanks for helping me!

BTW There is any way to close an Topic? I mean, now that this is solved isn't better to close the topic?

I am happy for you that you solved it!

I did not check the alpha settings as the alpha in your first release worked fine.

Indeed, in Nifskope everything looked perfect.

But we gotta to remember that Nifskope still extremelly deceiving at a lot of aspects.
